How To Get Board Lumber in Harvest Moon Echoes of Teradea
You will first need to get Lumber. This is a natural resource that you can obtain by chopping down trees. The process to do this is simple; you walk up to a tree and press the chop button until the tree falls.
However, if you have just started the game, this button might be missing for you. In this case, no need to worry. Simply progress through the prologue/tutorial of the game until you are given an axe. This is the key tool which enables chopping trees.
Once you have the axe, chop down trees until you get some Lumber. Trees are found everywhere around you in the wild. They are not hard to spot, so pick a random one to get started for now. Take this Lumber back to your Crafting Table and press Examine. This will pull up the Crafting Menu.

How To Get Square Lumber in Harvest Moon Echoes of Teradea
The process to get this material is the same as before. Find a random tree and chop it down. You will get 1 Lumber for every hit with an axe.
Note: I would recommend you chop a tree until only the stump remains. This is because you get some extra Lumber for completely felling the tree. The durability of the tree is visible through a progress bar which depletes as you strike it.
Once you have enough Lumber, return to the Crafting Table and check the second option on this list to find this resource. Craft however many pieces of this as you need.
