The Headless Horseman questline is a highlight of FischFright 3’s 2026 Halloween event in Roblox. It runs on Caustic Hallow and rewards players with the limited-time Baby Nessie companion. This event is completely different from the 2025 version, which used a different island (Crook’s Hallow).
You can play FischFrigtht 3 until November 9, 2026. If you want to collect the companion, you have to play it before then. In this guide, I will explain how you can finish the Headless Horseman quest.
How to Complete the Headless Horseman Quest in FischFight 3 (Roblox)
The Headless Horseman quest in Roblox’s FischFright 3 begins at the Moosewood docks. Here’s how to reach him:
Head to the docks and talk to the captain of the Flying Dutchman. Pick the travel option and sail to Caustic Hallow.
On the island, start near the Pumpkin King by the central fountain and head right. Cross the river and follow the path to the Ritual site. Climb the cliff behind the Ritual site to the Chapel Gate.
The Headless Horseman can be found standing right outside the church gate. Here are his approximate coordinates: -15176.6, 167.1, -9623.5. Talk to him and select the dialogue option “I’ll bring your Baby Nessie back” to begin the questline.
After that, you have to finish the three quests in order:
Quest 1: The Rescue Run (Carry Baby Nessie Out)
I found this pure timing challenge to be fun in FischFright 3. Here’s how you can finish this quest:
- Enter the chapel, find Baby Nessie behind the boxes towards the end of the room. Interact with it to pick it up.
- Carry it toward the exit. Remember to stop moving completely when the chapel lights begin to flicker or move erratically. Wait until they settle.
During this quest, you can only move when the lights are calm. If you move during a flicker, Baby Nessie will panic and return to its hiding spot. You must pick it up again and restart the carry.
Quest 2: Stabilizing the Chapel (Five Consecutive Mutated Catches)
After the rescue is done, you now have to stabilize the chapel by landing five consecutive fish that have a FischFright mutation. Each fish has to be reeled in when the chapel lights are flickering. Here’s how to do it:
- Fish in the Chapel Pool inside the church.
- Both conditions must be true for the catch: the fish must have an eligible FischFright mutation, and it must land during the flicker window.
A normal (non-mutated) fish or a catch that lands outside the flicker breaks the streak and resets your progress. The quest counter will tell you whether a catch counts or not. So, take a look at it after every reel.
For this particular quest in FischFright 3, I found it easy when using a rod that boosts every mutation’s odds. The Eldritch Rod is highly recommended because it can apply mutations from the relevant FischFright pool.
Also remember to cast and prepare your reel so you can finish it during the flickering rather than just starting the cast when the lights flash.
Quest 3: Nessie Expertise (Show Three Variants)
After the chapel is stabilized, the Headless Horseman will move inside the chapel. Talk to him there and show him the three items:
- Plush Nessie
- Zombie Nessie
- Ghoul Nessie
To get these items, you have to talk to the ghoul outside the Church and finish the rituals. You can use fish you have already caught and still have in your inventory for this one. If you are missing any, you can catch them before returning.
Reward for Completing the Headless Horseman Quest
Once you finish all three quests, the Baby Nessie companion will be unlocked for you. You can equip it from your Satchel. It is a limited Halloween companion. Here are the passives it offers:
- Improved chance for FischFright mutations.
- Dynamic Progress Speed boost (up to +25%).
- Night/day scaling: abilities are strengthened by about 1.1× at night and weakened by about 0.9× during the day.
The questline also unlocks skins such as Baby Plush, Baby Ghoul, and Baby Zombie Nessie appearances. You can also get the Shiny and Skeletal variants by showing these versions to the Horseman.
