Locked doors are a very typical sight in video games, and it’s no different in Phantom Blade Zero. In Weeping Creek Valley, you will come across one such locked door with a clue to the key. Like many players, if you head to the clue without any preparation, you will not be able to grab the key, even if it’s in your sight.
In this guide, I will walk you through all the steps to get the key to unlock the special door in the Weeping Creek Valley in Phantom Blade Zero. I will keep the spoilers to a minimum, so I will not describe all the secrets and mysteries found behind the other side of the door.
How to Open the Weeping Creek Valley Plains Locked Door

You will need the “Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Key” (Story Item) found at the top of the Sha-Chi tower to open the locked door in the Weeping Creek Valley. After leaving the outpost and heading north, you will find an old man outside a locked door who has clearly lost the key. Now it’s up to you to find it. The quest will soon pop up: “Deep In The Valley, Search the top of the Steel Tower for the lost key.”
The key for the specific door is found at the top of the Sha-Chi Tower, north of the Weeping Creek Valley, as marked on the map above. Once you reach the top of the Sha-Chi Tower, you will find the key is located in an unreachable spot. You will need a tool with grappling ability to reach the platform with the key, and the only way to get the ability is by defeating the Hunt boss. Progress in the main storyline to take out the Hunt, and you will receive “Hunter’s Chain Sickle”, which grants you the ability to finally grapple to hard-to-reach places.

Now activate the “Great Waterfall Bell ” and travel to the “Valley Sha-Chi Tower Summit Bell”. Follow the path to the top, and soon you will see a massive pole with red threads wrapped around it to your right, as I have indicated in the image above. The platform around the pole has an orange glowing item. Head to the platform using the Hunter’s Chain Sickle, grab the item off the floor to get the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Key.
In this area – you may also want to progress on Yu’er’s request for a Flesh Lily, that leads to a secret but tough boss fight, and a great weapon early on if you manage to defeat the boss.
Now with the key in hand, head back to the camp’s location, as marked on the map, and go through the door to the new area. You will notice the NPC that was once standing outside the door has completely vanished, but you can open the door on your own and see what awaits you inside.
