The Village of Lu features many secretive quests (A Puppet’s Wooden Heart Quest), and some of them are tied to various items found in the game. If you are looking to obtain all the weapons found in the region, you must take part in many of the side quests to obtain these exclusive weapons. Do note, some of these weapons are missable; if you fail to get them through the game, they will get locked in the game.
In this guide, I will walk you through finding all seven Weapons and Phantom Edges found in the Village of Lu in Phantom Blade Zero. Most of them are tied to the story encounters, while others are part of optional bosses and quests. Suffice to say, you will find most of these weapons mentioned in the article, but you will have trouble coming across the hidden ones, as they are put behind secret quests and hidden boss encounters at a specific part of the map.

The weapons tied to story boss fights can be counted as unmissable; the rest will be missable. Defeating the final boss drops two different weapons; one can be obtained right away, and the second one needs to be picked up. When it comes to optional weapons, Puppeteer’s Bell will take you a bit longer, as it is part of the unique side quest in Phantom Blade Zero.
Bastion (Artifice Phantom Edge)
You will need to defeat Zhou Bi, the Gatekeeper at the Village of Lu, to get the first weapon. Since it’s a story-related boss, you will not miss out on the weapon.

Tianxuan Bronze Sword (One-Handed Weapon)
You will need to defeat Master Bi Yuan in the Village of Lu to unlock this weapon. Just like the last weapon, this one is also tied to the story-related boss encounter, so you will not miss out on this one.
Note: This spot also houses the Unveiled Statue Relic for Quick Hand Zhang. It’s one of three relics found in the Village of Lu.

Kuye Temple Prayer Beads (Summoning Phantom Edge)
Defeating Bi Hai of Kuye Temple will reward you with the Kuye Temple Prayer Bead accessory. The boss is tied to the story, so it’s an unmissable item in the game.

Puppeteer’s Bell (Summoning Phantom Edge)
You must defeat the optional boss Dusk the Puppeteer at the bottom of the Broken Puppet Pit. First, travel to the Temple of Blue Fireflies Bell, move a bit right to enter Dusk’s Refuge, as part of the quest “Secrets at the Heart of the Lake.”
Note: Secrets at the Heart of the Lake requires you to obtain 6 Fireflies and four Acolyte’s Masks. The quest itself is a rather long one, and it’s also tied to the Perfect Ending to Phantom Blade Zero.

Heartrend Pipa (Artifice Phantom Edge)
You will need to defeat the Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet Boss at Grounds Bell in the Village of Lue. The boss here is part of the story-related encounter, so you will not miss this one.

Fiend Saws (Dual-Wield Weapons)
Defeating Mu Xiaokui, Young Mistress of the Order, the final boss in the Village of Lu, will grant you this item. Before triggering the boss fight, you must complete the side quest “Young Mistress”; completing this specific quest adds an extra layer to the third-phase final boss encounter against Mu Xiaokui in the Village of Lu. Defeating the final boss rewards you with the “Fiend Saws“.
Quest Info: The quest revolves around hunting down five ribbons in the area, left by Mu Xiaokui. You will hear the sound of the bell when you get close to the ribbons; use that as an indicator to find all five of them in the game.
- Ribbon #1: You will find it on the tree near the bridge leading to the Well of the Three Puppets. After defeating Zhuo Bi, the Gatekeeper, go up the stairs to find the ribbon. Finding the first ribbon will start the “Young Mistresses” quest.
- Ribbon #2: Remove the threads off the covered bridge near the Well of the Three Puppets to find the second ribbon spot.
- Ribbon #3: You will find it in the same area where you fought Master Bi Yuan. Defeating the boss unlocks Lady Ground Bell, and you will find the ribbon tied to the bell.
- Ribbon #4: This one is found right in front of the Temple of Blue Fireflies bell.
- Ribbon #5: Once you make your way to the Beneath the Well bell, to the left of the bell, you will find the ribbon tied to a wooden stick, next to the brazier.
Note: Don’t reach the Puppet Testing Ground without finding all five ribbons!

Wild Oriole Sword (One-Handed Weapon)
The final sword is dropped after defeating Mu Xiaokui, Young Mistress of the Order, the final boss of the Village of Lu. You will not get this weapon as a drop after defeating the boss, but you will find it stuck to the wooden bridge over the water; head up to the location and grab it.
Note: If you do leave the area after defeating Mu Xiaokui, the Young Mistress of the Order, then the weapon will go missing!
