Dodongo’s Cavern in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake has a total of five Gold Skulltulas. You can find four of them on your first trip to the location, playing as Child Link. To collect a couple of these, you will need Bombs or well-timed Baby Dodongo explosions.
The last one will require you to come back later as an adult with the Scarecrow’s Song. I highly recommend grabbing four of them on your first run, so you don’t have to do a second run for them. Once you are done with this dungeon, I recommend heading to Zora’s Domain next for swift progression. In this guide, I will explain how you can get all 5 Gold Skulltulas in Dodongo’s Cavern.
Dodongo’s Cavern Skulltula #1: Bomb Staircase Room

In the western room, where you set off the chain of Bomb Flowers to lower the big staircase, climb to the top. Then, turn around and look towards the mesh wall at the rear of the staircase.

You can find a normal Skullwalltula and a Gold one hanging above it. Hit them both with your Slingshot, and then climb the wall to collect the Gold Skulltula.
Dodongo’s Cavern Skulltula #2: East Corridor

Head east into the long corridor from the main chamber. A Baby Dodongo will pop out here. On the right side, you can spot a cracked wall. You can either use a bomb on it or lure a Baby Dodongo over and kill it, so the explosion can break the wall.

Inside the small room with a few Keese, you will find the Gold Skulltula on the wall. Clear the Keese to collect the token safely.
Dodongo’s Cavern Skulltula # 3: Room With Two Dodongos

Once you are on the upper level and can cross the area above the massive skull, look for a wall that you can bomb on the northeast side near the bridge. You can blow it open to enter the room. I used bombs. Be careful, as two Dodongos are circling a big rock.

Defeat the Dodongos or run past them. Then check the far side of the rock, and you will spot a Gold Skulltula hanging there.
Dodongo’s Cavern Skulltula #4: Block Puzzle Room Inside the Skull

You will reach a room where you push blocks around, once you open the giant skull’s mouth and go through it in the location. Here, there is another bombable wall in the area.

Blow it open and then deal with the Armos and any Baby Dodongos that are inside. The Gold Skulltula is waiting behind the statue on the back wall.
Dodongo’s Cavern Skulltula #5: Scarecrow Ledge in the East Corridor (As Adult Link)

Come here as an Adult Link after you have learned the Scarecrow’s Song from the scarecrows. You will also need this song to get one Gold Skulltula while exploring the Forest Temple area, so it is helpful to get this as soon as you can.

Return to the same east corridor where you found the room with the two Dodongos earlier. Near the start of the same hallway, look for a high ledge. Play the Scarecrow’s Song so Pierre appears, and then Hookshot to him. The final Gold Skulltula is on the same balcony.
That concludes the list of locations for all 5 Gold Skulltulas inside Dodongo’s Cavern in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. I recommend exploring the cavern with caution, as Baby Dodongos can deal significant damage to you, especially early in the game.
The location is the second major dungeon in the game and hides a few secrets too, if you wish to explore beyond your regular Skulltula hunt. Later in the game, you will come back to Death Mountain for the Fire Temple.
