In Sequence 4, Memory 3 of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, we are taken to a Mayan Temple with James Kidd. But before we uncover the secrets that hide beneath, we’re met with a puzzle that requires us to work our brains, similar to all other activities like treasure hunts.
The Mayan Temple section has a total of three puzzles, and it gets harder with each passing. To complete the mission, you’ll have to solve all three of them. These get progressively harder, and if you are stuck on either of them, I have put below the details on how to solve each of the puzzles in The Sage’s Buried Secret mission.
Black Flag Resynced – Mayan Temple Entrance Puzzle Solution
Immediately upon entering the Mayan Temple with James Kidd, we get stuck on a platform after a bridge collapses during Kidd’s attempt to cross. To get across, head towards the left side, climb up the roots, and make your way through.
Right after you jump on the Red statue head, you find it descending. On the opposite side, you’ll find a Blue statue head. Climb the Blue statue head, and the same effect will apply to open the door. Keep following Kidd until you come across the second puzzle.
Black Flag Resynced – The Rotating Single Statue Puzzle in Mayan Temple Solution
As you follow James Kidd, you’ll be met with another puzzle. The puzzle is simple. You need to get the Red statue head into the Red slot. At the center, you’ll find a level. Use it to rotate the colored circular platform and place the Red slot right below the Red statue head. Climb the Red statue head to slot it into place. Follow through the unlocked door until you reach the final puzzle.
Black Flag Resynced – The Rotating Triple Statue Puzzle in Mayan Temple Solution
The final Mayan Temple puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has three slots, out of which two are filled. The Green slot has a Red statue head, and the Red slot has a Blue statue head. You’ll also find the Green statue head hanging above with the help of a lift mechanism. On the opposite side, you’ll find the same mechanism, but with a load.
- You must first rotate the floor using the lever in the center until the Red statue head reaches the empty slotted mechanism.
- Next, climb the stone platform next to the empty mechanism to raise the Red statue head. This frees up the Green slot. If done right, you’ll have a vault door open up.
- Rotate the floor mechanism again using the lever until the Green slot sits right below the hanging Green statue head.
- This time, climb up the Green statue head to bring it down and position it. This will free up the lift mechanism on the right.
- Again, rotate the floor mechanism and align the Blue statue head with the lift mechanism on the right side.
- Climb the stone platform adjacent to it, and pick up the Blue statue head.
- This time, you’ll have both Blue and Red slots freed. Pivot the platform to get both statue heads down to their rightful positions.
Doing them all correctly will have the vault door completely open for you.
