Aion 2 offers a handful of options to enhance your character and get stronger, and one of the more overlooked options at hand is obtaining Clash Runes. These elusive items can be equipped on your character to increase your attack and defensive stats. Clash Runes are a bit hard to come by, but once you have your hands on them, you will notice a sharp increase in your overall power.
Getting your hands on a few Clash Runes can make all the difference to your gameplay, which is why this time is quite rare to find and extremely sought after. In case you are having a hard time trying to find more Clash Runes, here is a break down on everything there is to know about Clash Runes, how to get them, and how to upgrade them.
Clash Runes Explained in Aion 2
Clash Runes in Aion 2 are unique artifacts that enhance your character’s battle stats. While checking your character’s equippable gear, you will find two unique slots to place these specialised Runes. You can place up to two Clash Runes on your character and further upgrade these Runes to improve their stats. At base level, one +0 Clash Rune will offer the following stats.

Clash Runes will also increase your Item Level by 40 per Rune, giving you 80 Item Level by equipping two Runes.
How to Get Clash Runes in Aion 2
The most common way to get Clash Runes in Aion 2 is to complete Regional Quests. You first need to make progress through the main story quests until you find a new tab with several regional quests in your quest log. While checking out each quest in the menu, take a look at the rewards pool under the quest description. Some of them will mention Clash Rune Chests as possible rewards.
The following specific quests do unlock Clash Runes and unique titles upon completing them. If you can’t find them in your quest log, progress a bit more in the game and check back later.

Besides this method, you can also find Clash Runes at the Trade shops, specifically under Nightmare and Seasonal shops. If you plan to use the Nightmare shop, then you need to spend a unique currency called Phantasmal Fragments from Nightmare bosses or from checking in the Shugo event.
How to Upgrade Clash Runes in Aion 2
While picking up Clash Rune chests from quests or events, you will get Clash Rune Enhance Scrolls alongside each rune. You can use them in the Enhancement menu similar to upgrading gear. Select the Clash Rune and add the scroll along with some Enhancement Stones to upgrade the Clash Rune and obtain higher stats.
Upgrading to level 1 will always have a 100% success rate, but subsequent upgrades will lower your chances. At max level, you can own a +10 Clash Rune. I won’t recommend jumping into further upgrades until you have collected several scrolls and the success rate is 100%. That’s because if you fail an enhancement, the rune gets destroyed, and whatever upgrades were done on it will be lost forever.
I would rather suggest upgrading both runes to level 1 and keeping them at that until you are sure about future upgrades, especially if you have several spare Runes in your inventory already.
