Best F1 23 Canada Setup: Dry & Wet Race Settings

The Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is built on the man-made Notre Dame Island in Montréal, Canada. This uniquely located track is a beginner-friendly circuit. But despite it being one of the easier tracks in F1 23, it requires a decent setup to maximize your speed on this fast circuit.

In this guide, we will give you the best F1 23 Canada setup that can maximize the performance of your car so that you can get those fast lap times in dry and wet conditions.

Best F1 23 Canada setup: Settings for dry and wet conditions

This setup calls for raw speed. The track features long straights that let you open up your throttle and zip past your rivals if you have built your car faster than them. Most turns on this track are smooth rather than sharp. However, your F1 car will still need some braking power for those tight chicanes every so often.

Here is the guide along with wet condition adjustments wherever required:

Aerodynamics

With the aerodynamics for this setup, we are going with balanced settings which will ensure we retain turning capabilities for the chicanes. A slightly higher front wing aero will also help with the same. When tweaking this, make sure not to go too high on the downforce as this will hamper your speed.

Dry

  • Front Wing Aero: 27
  • Rear Wing Aero: 24

Wet

For the wet conditions, however, we will need more downforce to keep us planted on the track and in turn, keep us from spinning out.

  • Front Wing Aero: 30
  • Rear Wing Aero: 28

Transmission

Going for a fully open throttle differential is key for the F1 23 Canada setup. You need as much power as you can get out of your back wheels; this will help your acceleration and you will achieve those top speeds quicker coming out of corners. Most overtakes on this track happen at high speeds on the straights, and these settings will help you do that more easily.

  • Differential Adjustment on-throttle: 50
  • Differential Adjustment off-throttle: 50

Suspension Geometry

These settings make sure that your car runs stable and has the optimal level of control without sacrificing performance. While it is a fast straight track for the most part, Canada can get a bit rough at times. These settings in our F1 23 Canada setup will ensure you don’t spin out on any of the corners due to too much speed.

  • Front Camber: -2.60˚
  • Rear Camber: -1.00˚
  • Front Toe: 0.03˚
  • Rear Toe: 0.14˚

Suspension

The suspension settings for the Canada track require you to have lower pressures and high ride heights. These settings can be modified based on your liking, but the values here have proven to work the best on this track. These settings give you ample speed and good handling for a fast track like Canada. For wet conditions, it is slightly adjusted to handle better with wet tyres and surfaces.

Dry:

  • Front Suspension: 17
  • Rear Suspension: 14
  • Front Anti-Roll Bar: 7
  • Rear Anti-Roll Bar: 2
  • Front Ride Height: 33
  • Rear Ride Height: 36

Wet:

  • Front Suspension: 28
  • Rear Suspension: 8
  • Front Anti-Roll Bar: 6
  • Rear Anti-Roll Bar: 1
  • Front Ride Height: 32
  • Rear Ride Height: 36

Brakes

Brake pressure is crucial for Canada as it has hard-breaking chicanes which is why we are going to go for 100% brake pressure settings. For most tracks, this should be the case. You can consider lowering it slightly if you drive without ABS.

  • Brake Pressure: 100%
  • Front Brake Bias: 54%

Tyres

The tyre pressure is going to determine your tyre wear and performance in the long run. These settings have been shown to give good handling whilst keeping the wear at a minimum. Slight adjustments in these settings can cause larger outcomes than you can initially see so keep that in mind.

  • Front Right Tyre Pressure: 22.6
  • Front Left Tyre Pressure: 22.6
  • Rear Right Tyre Pressure: 20.2
  • Rear Left Tyre Pressure: 20.1

Canada is one of the most fun tracks to race around as it lets you really race your car at high speeds. The turns and chicanes on this one are also fun and easier to master than other tracks. With this F1 23 Canada setup, you will be flying past your opponents and possibly even lapping them as you head straight to the podium finish.
