Collectibles are always a fun side task, especially in a cozy game. In Outbound, most of the collectibles are easily obtainable as long as you are aware of their location. There is no challenge, no secrets hiding the collectible items; only one or two of them require the proper tool to break the barricade blocking the way to the collectible items. Here we will take a look at all the collectible spots in the Outdoor area.
List of All Collectibles in Outdoor in Outbound
This is the first area of the game with around 67 collectibles scattered throughout the map.
- x20 Campfires
- Basically, bonfires that you need to light by investing in one Everwood tree log. Unlike other collectibles, here you must light the campfire to complete them. They will be marked as an orange icon to show the sign of incomplete; if they are white, then it is completed, and you can move on to the next one.
- x20 Cairns
- Cairns are a stack of rocks that you just need to interact with to mark the collectible. A single interaction is needed to check it off the list. You can also interact with the Cairns after adding them to the collectibles list. Here, you will put the rocks again to create a stack. But the second time, you won’t get anything.
- x25 Gnome
- Small toy-like figures that you interact with to collect. Unlike in Half-Life 2, where we took the Gnome to space. Here we just have to collect them, they are always hiding in corners, a true gnome hunting.
- x3 Paintings
- Same as Gnomes, press the interact button in front of a painting to collect. Compared to others, paintings are rarer, so you will find only three of them in the first area, the Outdoors.
All Camfires Locations in the Outdoor Map
As long as you’re driving down the road, you will find the campfires on the sides. They are all located out in the open, often with a street signboard to help you find them easily. Make sure to light the campfire before leaving the place, or it won’t count.
Most of the campfires are locked down in the south of the map, and a few are up north. So when you start the game for the very first time, grab the logs and deposit them into the van so it won’t slow you down. And light every campfire you come across in the area.
All Cairns Locations in the Outdoor Map
One thing to note, Cairns are always located near high places, often near ledges. Compared to the campfires, Cairns are often found on higher ground, but not missable. Every time you light a campfire, head out and explore the surroundings, and you will find Cairns along with other collectibles.
All Gnomes Locations in the Outdoor Map
If Cairns are located at high places, then Gnomes are always hidden in corners, but none of them can be counted as missable. Point of Interest areas, such as Sunbeam Acres Farm and The Windmill, are only two places with two distinct Gnomes found in the place, while the rest of the area will have a single Gnome collectible.
While most of them are found easily, you might face some trouble hunting down the Gnome at Sunbeam Acres Farm, located east of the map. This one is located at the barnyard with the unused floating machine on a wooden board.
There is a Gnome placed on the wooden board, but it is being blocked by the floating machine. Just get behind the inoperable floating machine, and you will find a lever to pull up the machine, and you will find the Gnome on the wooden board.
All Painting Locations in the Outdoor Map
Pretty neat and simple, just walk up to the paintings and interact with them to collect. Unlike the rest of the collectibles, paintings are very limited; you will find only three in the first map.
