After being in early access for a little more than one and a half years, Blood West release date is around the corner. Here’s everything you need to know about the full release of Hyperstrange’s retro indie Western shooter.
When Is Blood West Coming Out?
Blood West is having its full release on December 5, 2023. The full release will be accompanied by the addition of Chapter 3, which, according to the devs, is their “most ambitious chapter” in the game yet.
Another big change that’s part of the full release is the new voice acting by Stephen Russell for Blood West’s protagonist – the revenant gunslinger. Russell has been an iconic voice actor in the video game industry with roles like Nick Valentine in Fallout 4, Corvo in Dishonored 2, and Garrett in the Thief series.
Will Blood West Be Priced Higher On Full Release?
Hyperstrange has recently bumped up Blood West’s $14.99 early access pricing to $24.99 as they gear up for the game’s full release.

If you are wondering if it will be increased again on its full release, then fret not! This $24.99 is the final base price for Blood West for the foreseeable future.
For those of you who have not followed Blood West during its early access period, it’s a shooter set in the Wild West with horror, immersive sim, and roguelike elements. All of these are, as you can see in the images and trailers, served in a retro and low-poly aesthetic.
I won’t blame you if you have mixed it up with Weird West, which launched right around the same time Blood West came into early access. Or Evil West for that matter, which is a Western co-op beat ‘em up that launched in November last year. Or maybe Hard West 2—an XCOM-like tactical RPG set in the American West—that was released in August last year.
Despite the barrage of games utilizing the Western setting coming out recently, Blood West sets itself apart with its retro gunslinging swagger.
Blood West is coming out of early access and having its full release on December 5, 2023, on PC via Steam.
