Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 features many outfits for players to customize each character. Some of these outfits can be purchased directly from a merchant, while others will need you to fight NPCs you didn’t even know existed! Whether you’re trying to collect all outfits or searching for a specific one to add some style to your character, this guide will show you how to get all 10 outfits for Sciel.
#1 Expedition Outfit

This is the default outfit that Sciel gets.
#2 Sakapatate Outfit

Sakapatate Outfit for Sciel can be obtained from Gestral Village. From the entrance, take a right, through the archway, and into an open area. You will see Alexcyclo, a merchant with purple hair standing next to one of the fire pillars. He will trade you the Sakapatate Outfit for 1000 Chroma.
#3 Baguette Outfit

The 3rd outfit for Sciel is the Baguette Outfit. Take the bridge leading upwards from the Entrance Flag. Once you exit the cave part of the bridge, you will reach an open area with a pond underneath, where you can drop off to the right side, and you’ll see a Mime waiting for you. Fight and defeat this mime to unlock the Baguette Outfit, which is a Red Beret and Striped T-shirt with a red scarf and suspenders.
#4 Pure Outfit

In Monoco’s Station, you’ll have to talk with an NPC called Grandis Fashionist to get this outfit. He will ask you to finish his sentence for 3 poems, and once you answer all 3 of them correctly, you’ll unlock this outfit for Sciel. The questions and answers are as follows:
- 1st Poem: Life’s a river, winding through the valley of despair….
ANSWER: It meets the sea’s embrace, where sorrow turns into air. - 2nd Poem: Life’s a story written with the ink of dreams and fears…
ANSWER: And death the final chapter, where we shed our tears. - 3rd Poem: Life’s a blazing comet, racing through the sky
ANSWER: Its light will softly fade, where weary skies lie.
After you impress the Fashionist with your poetry, he’ll grant you the Pure Outfit.
#5 Skirt Outfit

As shown in the location of the map above, among the trees along the shores of Gestral Beach-3, you will see a merchant called Carnovi. You can buy the Skirt from him for 5000 Chromas. This outfit has a polka-dotted shirt and a maroon skirt for Sciel.
#6 Swimsuit – 1

You will unlock your first Swimsuit outfit after reaching Relationship Level 6 with Sciel. This can be done by talking to her in camp, choosing dialogues with positive connotations, and once you progress through the main story, you’ll have more interactions with her, which will assist in increasing the relationship level.
#7 Swimsuit – 2

To get the 2nd Swimsuit, you’ll have to get to the Gestral Beach-2. This is towards the Northeast side of Stone Wave Cliffs and just across a valley of trees. Once you reach the area, you will be teleported to a beach with just a Gestral in sight. After the Gestral welcomes you, you will get 3 prompts. Select “Let’s Beach Raft Volley”. After you choose that, the Gestral will ask you which Sakapatate you want to try. Select “The Strongest” and it will commence your match against a Gestral. You will be placed in a raft where the objective is to throw back the oncoming Gestrals and destroy your opponent’s raft.
You don’t have to face the Gestrals to throw it back at the correct angle, as once you hit it will automatically move towards the opponent. You can also identify how much life is left on both the rafts by looking at how many lanterns placed on the rafts are Green.
#8 Sirene Outfit

To get to this area on the map, you will need Esquie’s Fly ability. Once you reach the location, you will meet a merchant called Pearo, who will sell you the Sirene Outfit for 5000 Chromas.
#9 Danseuse Outfit

From Frozen Hearts, as you leave the Expedition Flag, you’ll see the frozen remains of a train leading upwards. Follow the path and you’ll see a grapple point towards a rock. From that rock, you can grapple to another frozen train and as you move forward, you’ll see a merchant with a lantern. You can buy the Danseuse outfit for Sciel from this merchant for 10,000 Chroma.
You can also get the Pelerin Outfit for Verso from this merchant for 20,000 Chroma!
#10 Clea Outfit

Getting Clea’s outfit requires several steps, the first one being getting to the Flying Manor. This location is unlocked after following the main story and defeating the 4 paintbearers. Once you enter Flying Manor, move forward through the bridge and grapple across to another one. You’ll meet with a boy standing among 4 statues, and upon questioning how to open the door behind him, he’ll claim we’ll have to “bring the colours back” to her paintings. This is the game telling us to defeat the 4 bosses hidden away in this area, and here’s how:
- From the Expedition Flag in the area, you will notice a bridge facing a bunch of rocks leading up. After climbing the rocks, grapple towards the stairway and you’ll meet your first boss, Duellista.
- There is a platform behind the remains of the building next to the Expedition Flag. Let the platform take you to the top and keep moving. An enemy will approach, but you can simply ignore it, head behind it and continue to the right. Keep moving forward, grapple across the bridges, and you will eventually reach an arena with your 2nd boss Goblu.
- Head right from the Faceless boy, where you’ll spot a staircase leading down. Follow the path. You’ll need to use your grapple to descend again. After grappling, you’ll notice a platform that will lead you even deeper. Once you descend the flight of stairs, you’ll see a large white enemy with a train’s front stuck on its head. Defeat the enemy and progress forward, you’ll be able to grapple up to find yourself in an area illuminated by numerous lamps, and inside the building awaits Lampmaster.
- Along the same edge of the staircase you used to find Lampmaster, to the left side of the broken building, there is a path along the edges of a picture frame. Follow the path, and grapple into the Church where you’ll meet with Eveque, where you’ll fight against Flame, Frost and Thunder Eveque.
Once you defeat her, the Faceless Boy will appear beside you, offering to take you back to the Plaza. After you reach the Plaza, the doors that were initially closed will open, and now you can move on to defeating Clea. After defeating Clea, interact with the Faceless Boy; he’ll say he’ll gift you a garment designed by him and Clea, but he can only give 1. This is where you can pick 1 of the 3 options given. Choose Sciel and you will have collected all 10 outfits for her!
