In Control Resonant, you need to find and eat 4 pieces of Delicious Mold to open the Mold Gate in The Park and access the Resonant boss called The Collective. Eating the molds is intentional and safe for Dylan, and you will see Zoe helping him pull him out of the resulting trances throughout the quest.

Collecting All 4 Pieces of Delicious Mold in Control Resonant
In Control Resonant, the game asks you to collect and eat 4 pieces of Delicious Mold in order to finish the quest of The Park Resonant. You can collect them in any order you want after the first one (The Cafe Mold), which kicks off the quest itself. But remember to clear the nearby enemies; otherwise, the mold won’t become interactable.
Here’s the location of all four molds:
Cafe Mold (Starter Piece located in the Central Pit/ Sinkhole)
This is the first piece and the one that begins the related quest. Here’s how to find it:
Drop into the large mold-covered sinkhole/crevasse in the middle of the zone.
Look for the remains of the café next to the sealed Mold Gate.
Inside it, you can spot a yellow sign saying “DO NOT INGEST THE MOLD”. This piece sits on a round dining table by the counter. Interact with the mold and choose to eat it. This will trigger a hallucination sequence and will mark the other three locations on your map.
Gym Mold (Located in the Northwest Side of The Park Zone)
Head to the northwest section of The Park and go across the mold-covered streets toward the ruined gym building.
Drop through the amber mold pit near the broken sign and enter the destroyed office.
You will find the piece on the desk. Clear the enemies in the immediate area if the interaction is locked.
Minimart Mold (Situated on the Southwest Side in the Urban Fresh Mart)
Fast travel to the East Supply Route area in The Park.
Locate the Urban Fresh Mark.
Clear out the enemies outside. Once inside, the piece is found in a cardboard box by the counter.
Pizzeria Mold (Located on the Southeast Side of The Park Zone, in the Paradise Pizza Place)
From the central area or the gym area, head toward the east side of The Park. You can also use the sewer drainage entrance, which is marked with FBC arrows on the northeast side of the intended route.
Follow the concrete pipes and climb back up to street level.
Enter the pizzeria, and the piece will be sitting on a booth table.
What Happens After You Collect All 4 Pieces of Delicious Mold in Control Resonant
After you have collected and eaten all 4 pieces of Delicious Mold in Control Resonant, it is time to head back to the original sinkhole where you found the first Cafe Mold. With all four pieces eaten, the Mold Gate will now open for Dylan. Drop through the gate to confront the boss, The Collective.
Important Notes to Remember For The Park Resonant Quest
- The Shift ability (from the incursion Fault) becomes your best friend during this quest when it comes to navigating areas comfortably and also later in the fight.
- Each mold will trigger a short trance. Zoe will help Dylan recover from them.
- Completing the final fight rewards Dylan with two choices: the Spore Burst or Growth combat abilities, and the Insidious Growth trophy.
