Destiny 2 Lightfall brought tons of new content, including four quests that can lead you to unlock the Winter Bite Exotic Glaive. One of these is called the Destiny 2 Maelstrom quest, which tasks you to repair the Maelstrom memorial with the help of Quinn Laghari.

How To Complete Maelstrom Quest In Destiny 2
After you complete the Welcome to the Hall of Heroes and Stargazer quests, go to the Hall of Heroes and talk with Quinn to start the Maelstrom quest in Destiny 2.
Maelstrom requires four steps to complete:
1. Bond With Strand Sources And Defend Vex Incursion Zone
The first step requires you to Defend Vex Incursion Zones and bond with Strand Sources. Here is what you need to do:
- Area Defend: To increase the progress of the ‘Area defended’ objective, head to the Vex Incursion Zone to collect Cloud Accerations, loot chests, and resource nodes. Another way to increase its progress is to also do the Heroic Public Events and Patrols.
- Strand Sources: In Vex Incursion Zones, you can find floating green energy strands which are Strand Sources. Interact with two Strand Sources to complete this objective. They can usually be found in elevated locations.
2. Complete The Lost Sector
For this step in the Maelstrom quest, you will need to simply complete a Lost Sector in the current Vex Incursion Zone inside Neomuna.

3. Repair Maelstrom’s Memorial
Just like you did in the Stargazer quest, head back to the Hall of Heroes and go to the collapsed memorial which will be marked as your objective. Interact with it and repair it to complete this step.
4. Return To Quinn
Go back to Quinn and speak to him to finally complete the Destiny 2 Maelstrom Quest and get your Winterbite Exotic Glaive.
