The JAR-5 Dominator in Helldivers 2 is a very purpose-built weapon, the purpose? To kill the larger foes with ease. The projectiles fired from the JAR-5 Dominator explode when they come in contact with an enemy which makes it very efficient for taking down larger enemies like the Automaton Devastators or the Terminid Stalkers.
However, due to its slow fire rate and low magazine capacity, it severely lacks the power to manage hordes of smaller enemies despite being a close-range shotgun type of weapon. It is not even worth using the high damage of the JAR-5 on a single small target because that’s a waste of your limited ammo.
