Along with the new maps, weapons, and game modes being introduced in the upcoming Season 1 of XDefiant, the game will also be adding a brand new faction named GSK to the team. Like all other factions currently available in XDefiant, GSKs will also have their own specialties and abilities to conquer the arena.
So, here’s everything you need to know about the GSK faction in the game before the Season 1 release.
GSK In XDefiant

XDefiant’s newest faction, GSK, is inspired by Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six series, which features a counter-terrorist unit named GSG 9. These GSK faction members will also resemble the Police Force, with weapons and equipment catered to the law enforcement theme.
Certain GSK abilities like the ADS System, Flash Shield, and more are taken from GSG 9 Unit and other Rainbow Six operators. So, if you’re a fan of the Rainbow Six Siege series, you should try out this faction in XDefiant.

All GSK Faction Abilities In XDefiant
Like all factions in XDefiant, the GSK faction will also have its own set of abilities including the Ultra. The special GSK abilities are as follows:
- Shockwire – The shockwire will be an item that can be visible on the game map once deployed. It will probably act as sort of a tripwire that harms enemies once they cross the line and alert your teammates. You will be able to use the shockwire three times in an XDefiant match.
- Jager ADS System – This ADS system will disable all enemy throwables detected on the map once it is deployed.
- Ballistic Shield (Ultra) – Similar to the Phantom faction’s ability in XDefiant, GSK’s Ballistic Shield will also deploy a shield to protect you from incoming bullets. Since this is an ultra ability, the large shield will also act as a flashbang in the game. Furthermore, you will also be able to equip a secondary firearm to shoot at enemies while being protected by the shield.
We will update the article as soon as more information is released about the GSK Faction in XDefiant; until then, we just have to wait in anticipation of Season 1’s official launch.
