The Ghost of Yotei DLC, Echoes of Sekigahara, adds a lot of content to the already expansive game, including 4 Viper Storehouse locations. You can raid these places for some nice rewards and charms. Each of the storehouses stores food stolen by the Vipers, so it is naturally Atsu’s (and your) duty to make sure that this food is returned to its proper owners. Follow along as I show you where to find these storehouses and how to open these pesky locks.
Viper Storehouse #1 Location
Go to the Shari Fields region (marked above), and you will find a trapped Golden Bird being tormented by some Vipers. You can use whichever method you prefer to take them all down (I finish it off with a simple Standoff). Release the Golden Bird from the cage, and follow it to reach the first Viper Storehouse.
Of course, this is not necessary; you can simply head to the location of the storehouse (marked above) on your own, but this is the method I used. Once you are at the location, talk with the NPC at the gate of the storehouse. He will be trying, in vain, to open the gate.
At this time, you will be attacked by a Viper. Swiftly dispatch this enemy, and pick up a Massive weapon. I used the hammer from the weapons rack nearby. Swing this at the locked door to break it open. This will complete the Storehouse and give you the Charm of Smashing.
Viper Storehouse #2 Location
This is located in the Ashoro Foothills region. You can walk into this storehouse at the location marked above. This area will have five Vipers in the vicinity. I would recommend using a Standoff here to dispatch at least four of them in a row without taking any damage, leaving only one enemy remaining.
Finally, repeat the same procedure as before; grab a Massive weapon and break the door of the warehouse.
Viper Storehouse #3 Location
This next storehouse is a little bit north of the previous location, next to the Shrouded Claw. Again, the exact location is shown in the image above. Start off in the same way as before, by taking down the five Vipers guarding the location.
However, this is not the end. Prepare for more trouble, as more enemies will swarm the location once you break the storehouse door. So, be ready for a fight. Watch out for enemies with red skull markers, as they will be trying to kill the civilians in the area, so deal with them first.
Viper Storehouse #4 Location
The image above denotes the final storehouse location. Take out the enemies guarding the location again while being mindful of the traps. Once this is done, approach the storehouse gate and pick up the Savory Fish Stew recipe lying near its entrance. Afterwards, break open the door for the next phase of this mission.
When you destroy the final storehouse gate, a band of Vipers will approach your location once again, this time accompanied by Zensaku the Loyal, a Viper Enforcer. Use your tools like Smoke Bombs and Scorch Bombs to thin the crowd before facing the boss in a one-on-one fight.
Rewards on Completing All 4 Viper Storehouses in Ghost of Yotei DLC
You get the Charm of Smashing (and its upgrades for conquering Viper Storehouses). These upgrades are obtained as follows:
