Palworld might be “Pokémon with guns”, but it adds survival to the mix by having you collect various resources to make items. The most important item you need is the Pal Sphere to capture Pals. But to craft Pal Spheres, you will need Paldium Fragments.
Where To Find Paldium Fragments In Palworld
You can get Paldium Fragments in Palworld by mining Paldium Rocks which can be found randomly in various places in Palworld. You can identify these rocks by the bright blue accents over them along with a glint.
It is advised that you mine Paldium Rocks using a Stone Pickaxe as this will yield a higher number of Paldium Fragments per rock. You can craft a Stone Pickaxe from the Primitive Workbench using Wood 5x and Stone 5x.
Note: You have a low chance of getting Paldium Fragments while mining regular stone.

What Are Paldium Fragments Used For?
Palladium Fragments are used to craft various items in Palworld, including:
- Pal Sphere: Can be used to catch Pals in the wild.
- Palbox: A terminal device for your base that allows you to manage all your captured Pals.
- Common Shield: A shield that is capable of absorbing damage until the shield bar is depleted. Regains the shield amount once out of combat for a short time.
Out of these, Pal Sphere is the single most important item that I made using Paldium. Eventually, even a Palbox becomes quite essential to manage the increasing amounts of Pals you will capture with those Pal Spheres.
Once you start catching lots of pals, you may want to look at the Palworld Type Chart to make the right Pal choices in combat.
