How To Save Gondians At The Iron Thorne In Baldur’s Gate 3
Gondians are captured and put to prison on the Iron Throne, so the first part of this quest will instruct you to save them from that prison. Here is how you can save all Gondians at Iron Throne:
- Get to the Iron Throne from the Flymm Cargo building via the hatch that goes to the basement. You will also have to convince Redhammer the Deviser in dialogue so that he will take you further down into the submarine.
- You will now have to dock this at the prison. But before that, you will receive instructions from Lord Gortash saying you cannot dock there, but you have to in order to save the Gondians. So, ignore this warning.
- As you head down the ladder into the prison, you will face Sahuagin enemy units. So, be ready for a fight. There will be many Gondian hostages locked inside these prison cells that you will need to free after the fight.
- At this point, you will need to act fast as there will now be a timer that tells you how many turns you have left before the prison explodes. You will have to use all your movement capabilities such as Misty Step to free as many hostages as possible. This can be best achieved by splitting up your party members and making them go after separate hostages.
- Once you save as many as you can, make your party head back to the ladder to finish this part of the quest.

How To Save Gondians At The Steel Watch Foundry In Baldur’s Gate 3
This part of the quest will first require you to get into the Foundry and disable it. After you have done that, you will go along with Toobin to blow up the Steel Watch Foundry.
Since the Gondians are willing to die as freedom fighters and will purposely put themselves in danger and get themselves killed, it is not exactly possible to save all of them at Steel Watch Foundry.
If you really want to save them all, you will have to rigorously save scum and hope your efforts pay off. When the self-destruction of the foundry starts, the Goodians will try to run into the explosion radius no matter how much you stop them.
After the Steel Watch Foundry blows up, you will all meet outside with the surviving Gondians and it will finish the ‘Save the Gondians’ quest in Baldur’s Gate 3.
