Winterfest in Fortnite brings a unique set of challenges, one of which is to travel a certain distance while sliding continuously with icy feet. This quest can be a bit tricky, especially since some players have reported encountering bugs. Here’s a detailed guide on how to accomplish this task effectively.
How To Slide With Icy Feet In Fortnite
The best method to obtain icy feet is by using the Icy Grappler, which has unlimited ammo and provides icy feet upon landing. A strategic approach to completing the Winterfest quest is heading to Zenith’s Wall landmark, just below Grand Glacier. Here, you can put on your Icy Feet by using the Icy Grappler or the Snowmando, and then sprint down the frozen waterfall while performing a continuous slide on your knees. Easiest Way To Get Icy Feet
To get Icy Feet, Fortnite players have two primary methods:
- Destroying a Sneaky Snowmando Disguise: Players can throw down a Sneaky Snowmando Disguise and destroy it to gain Icy Feet. These disguises are available in chests or can be purchased for 100 Gold Bars from the Leelah NPC, located just east of Hazy Hillside.
- Using an Icy Grappler: The Icy Grappler is an exotic weapon that not only allows quick movement across the map but also grants Icy Feet. It can be found in chests throughout the game. (NOTE: This tool has been vaulted for now, so while it is gone this isn’t possible. However, it was vaulted recently to fix a bug so it may come back soon.)

How To Fix The Icy Feet Sliding Quest Not Working
If the quest isn’t tracking your progress, ensure you’re actively sliding by pressing the crouch button. Simply moving around on icy feet does not count. You need to complete a continuous slide of 50 meters, where using a specific location like Zenith’s Wall can be beneficial.
For those who are confident they’re completing the task correctly but still not seeing progress, it could be due to a bug. In such cases, you may need to wait for a hotfix from Epic Games.
