Project Slayers 2 lets you hone and use several elemental attacks against your opponents. You can now unlock the newly revealed Thunder Breathing skill to use the related element and zip around the arena. Obtaining the Thunder Breathing technique requires you to follow a lengthy questline, but first you need to find the right trainer to help you out.
This guide will give you the exact details on where to find the Thunder Breathing Trainer, completing his questline, and all Thunder Breathing techniques that you can unlock. There’s also a quick note on how to get the Thunder Breathing equipment and the final steps in unlocking the Ultimate skill.
How to Unlock Thunder Breathing in Project Slayers 2
You unlock Thunder Breathing by unlock the Thunder Trainer, completing a set of mini-games, and defeating the Thunder Trainee. This also requires you to be a level 25 character, have 10 demon horns and 7000$ in-game currency. In case you haven’t collected any Demon Horns yet, I found a great spot to have demons spawn in without waiting for nighttime.

First, make your way to the Bamboo Grove location on the map and head down towards the waterfall. Enter the waterfall to find the demon’s lair. You need to kill all the demon spawns here several times until you get 10 demon horns. Do note that collecting demon horns depends on RNG, so you might be spending a lot of time here to get all 10 horns.
As for leveling up and collecting $7000, you can do this by progressing through the main story quests and speaking to all the NPCs here. You will gain cash rewards and also level up at the same time.
How to Find the Thunder Trainer in Project Slayers 2
The Thunder Trainer is at the very top of the Verdant Cliffs, just like the Serpent Trainer. Before you continue, I recommend getting the climb and double jump abilities, as getting to the top is quite a long process. To start, make your way to the Mother Bear enclosure and go through the Torii Gates nearby. From here, there are two methods to reach the mountain where the Thunder Trainer resides.
Method 1

Keep to your right as you pass through the second Torii Gate and get on the grassy platform once it appears. Go around the cliff edge until you find a platform that you can climb on. Continue up and use the tree trunk to get access to the other side.
Once you reach the next mountain, climb up, and you can take any path on the left or right. Eventually, you will reach a platform with two cranes having hooks at the end. Right below it is a tree trunk that will take you to the other mountain where the Thunder Trainer resides.
Method 2

Continue past the Torri Gates and jump down on the bridge beside the waterfall. Continue down the path and climb up the tree trunk on your left. Continue up until you spot another tree trunk overhead. You can rest on the tree trunk branch below to regain your stamina before continuing the climb up.
Go across to the second mountain, go left, then climb up. Continue to climb up until you find the platform with the cranes with the hooks. There is a tree trunk beside it, get on it and go across to the next mountain.
Whichever method you have picked, upon reaching this particular mountain, continue to climb up. Your quest to find the Thunder Trainer will end once you reach the top.
All Thunder Trainer Minigames
Speaking to the Thunder Trainer will unlock several minigames. You need to complete all minigames before you can unlock Thunder Breathing. There are a total of 5 minigames – ranging from meditation to pushups. Here’s how to successfully complete all the required minigames.
Meditation Minigame

Make your way to the Butterfly Mansion at the Meditation spawn point. You will have the spawn point appear after your initial conversation with the Thunder Trainer. Enter the mansion and sit on the rug to start the minigame.
All you need to do is tap the LMB each time the moving marker falls on the blue target area on the meter below. My tip to win the game is to wait just until the marker is right at the edge of the target, then click the button. Keep doing this until the percentage shows 100%, which completes this minigame.
Cup Minigame
After that, head over to the next room and sit at the table to start the Cup Game. This is another pretty easy game, as you just need to memorize which cup the object is under. You get 3 tries to get it right, and you need to do this 10 times to complete the minigame. I suggest placing your mouse cursor on the cup that has the object to make things easier.
Pushups Minigame

Head outside and enter the next dojo. Step on the mat to start the pushup minigame. For this game, you need to wait for the smaller inner circle to expand and align itself to the larger outer circle. Then, hit LMB to mark it. If done correctly, the circle will turn green, or it will glow red if you miss the mark.
Target Practice Minigame
Exit the dojo and make your way to the archery area. Interact with the dartboard to start the minigame. This game is really easy; just click on all the dartboards that appear on the screen.
Boulder Split Minigame
Check your map or your nearby location to find another quest marker. This will take you to the top of the mountain nearby. Upon reaching the top, you will find two large boulders. Select any boulder to start the minigame. All you need to do for this minigame is to drag the white dot towards the green dot.
Defeat the Thunder Trainee

The final part isn’t really a minigame, but it is a requirement for the quest. Before making your way to Verdant Cliffs, I suggest making a spawn point nearby. You can find the Hidden Mist Village spawn point right at the location marked on the map above. While making your way over here, fall all the way down to the ground level after reaching the Torii Gate to find the marker.
After setting the spawn point, start climbing up the Verdant Cliffs mountain beside it. You will soon reach the Thunder Trainee’s spawn point. This fight could be a bit tough for lower-level players, since the Thunder Trainee has 600 HP. If you can’t beat him yet, I suggest leveling up and returning later.
Also, you need to block his lightning bolt attacks, as evading them will just make the trainee aim for you anyways. Wait for the Trainee to come close to you, then hit him with your attacks. If the Trainee pushes back with combos, block it, then hit him back.
All Thunder Breathing Abilities and Keybinds
Once the Thunder Trainee is defeated, you will automatically unlock the Thunder Breathing skill set. You can find your new skill branch by clicking on the Skill Tree option on the sidebar and scrolling down. You will find 5 unique abilities to unlock.
| Ability | Description |
| Flaming Thunder God | Ultimate ability. |
| Godspeed (V key) | Dash forwards. |
| Lightning Fold (X key) | Go up as a lightning bolt and slam down. |
| Rice Spirit (C key) | A charged AoE attack within your immediate radius. |
| Thunder Clap and Flash | Aim before pressing the dash key to create a spinning knockback. |
How to Unlock Ultimate Skill
Since the Flaming Thunder God is the last skill on the Thunder Breathing skill list, you need to unlock all previous skills first. Then, you need to head back to Verdant Cliffs, right where the Thunder Trainer was. But instead of heading up to find the trainer, check around the base of the cliff at ground level to find Zentaro.
Fight this boss not just to get the Thunder Breathing equipment, but also to unlock the Ultimate skill. Again, like most boss fights, obtaining the equipment and the skill requires RNG, so you need to fight Zentaro several times. Below are the drop chances for the items that you can farm from the boss.
| Ability/ Equipment | Drop chance |
| Flaming Thunder God | 5% |
| Thunder Katana | 5% |
| Thunder Haori | 3% |
