As the Terminid and Automaton forces spread across the settled systems in Helldivers 2, the democratic Super Earth keeps coming up with new weapons and equipment to help Helldivers deal with this ever-increasing threat. Us Helldivers have had electric arc weapons, fire weapons, and even concussing weapons, but now we also have access to gas poison weapons with the Chemical Agents Warbond in Helldivers 2, but how good is it? let’s find out.

Weapons And Items In Chemical Agents Warbond In Helldivers 2
The developers at Arrowhead are constantly trying to add new things to each Warbond they release. As for the Chemical Agents Warbond in Helldivers 2, this one is the first Warbond to feature stratagems in it. These stratagems can only be acquired through purchasing and unlocking them in the Warbond compared to all the other stratagems in the game that only require Requisition to unlock.
Besides all the cosmetic items, here is a list of every weapon, throwable, armor set, and stratagem you can unlock in the Chemical Agents Warbond:
- Weapons and Equipment:
- G-4 Gas Grenade (Throwable)
- TX-41 Sterilizer (Stratagem)
- AX/TX-13 “Guard Dog” Dog Breath (Stratagem)
- P-11 Stim Pistol (Secondary Weapon)
- Armor Sets:
- AF-50 Noxious Ranger Light Armor (Passive gives 80% resistance to gas damage and effects)
- AF-O2 Haz-Master Medium Armor (Passive gives 80% resistance to gas damage and effects)
Is The Chemical Agents Warbond In Helldivers 2 Worth Buying?
No, the Chemical Agents Warbond in Helldivers 2 is not worth spending 1000 Super Credits especially if you do not own the other top tier Warbonds like the Democratic Detonation or Freedom’s Flame Warbonds.
As you can already see from the list above, it lacks meaningful items like primary weapons or even boosters which are some of the most crucial items for your loadout in Helldivers 2. This Warbond replaces them with stratagems, but even those are somewhat lackluster and situational. There are some really good primary weapons you can get from other Warbonds, like the R-35 Eruptor from the Democratic Detonation Warbond.
The TX-41 Sterilizer is a stratagem weapon that works very similarly to the FLAM-40 Flamethrower but uses gas damage instead of incendiary damage. It is a decent weapon and can be slightly better than the flamethrower against the Automatons but that still doesn’t make it worth the 1000 Super Credits price point when the Flamethrower can be purchased for just 6000 Requisition as soon as you are level 10.
Even the AX/TX-13 “Guard Dog” Dog Breath can easily be replaced with the other Guard Dog stratagems that you can buy without super credits. The only real selling point of this Warbond is the P-11 Stim Pistol which allows you to heal other Helldivers from a distance so you can live out your combat medic fantasy.
While the armor sets do look cool, the passive on them called Advanced Filtration is very situational and only really helps your survival when you are inside the gas. You would be better off with much stronger armor passives for survival like Democracy Protects (Gives a 50% chance to survive lethal damage) or Med-Kit (Increases Stim capacity by 2 and Stim duration by 2.0 seconds).
