There are six LEGO Fortnite quests you will have to complete to get your hands on all three Batman items. Here’s how you can start.
Drop onto the main island, look for the Bat-signal up in the sky, and head there. The first set is called “ Gotham City Needs You”. Here you have to defeat 10 henchmen and get the chests inside the areas, which was pretty straightforward if you ask me. Completing three of these will immediately get you access to the Batglider and the Grapnel.
The second quest is called “I Had a Hench You’d Be Here”. In this one, you are asked by Batman to head over to Robinson Park in the Mainland. There are a total of eight henchmen present in this area. Eliminate them to complete the quest.
The next quest is called “Holy Hot Peppers, Batman”. You need to collect 10 peppers to finish this quest in LEGO Fortnite. I found it easy to head over to Dry Valley and find chests that already had multiple peppers inside them.
The next on the quest list is called “Poison I.V.” Named after the infamous and iconic Batman villain, the LEGO Fortnite quest does live up to the name by throwing deadly scorpions at you. Eliminate 10 of them to finish the quest. They are also found in the Dry Valley region and are marked on your map.
The fifth quest is called “POW!-er Cells”. This quest asks you to craft 10 biomass. Build a compost bin and put any organic resources inside it. I recommend putting skeletons inside if it’s nighttime, or just eggs will do the trick to offer you biomass.
“Commissioner Gourd-On” is the final quest on the list of LEGO Fortnite, which requires you to get 10 pumpkins. You can find them practically anywhere inside the grasslands. This one will unlock the iconic, Tim Burton-style Batmobile ‘89.
What You Need to Know About Knight Shift in LEGO Fortnite
The Knight Shift event kicked off on September 3, 2026, and runs through mid-October. Batman villains have scattered pieces of Gotham across the island, and the Dark Knight needs help clearing them out.
New Gotham-themed locations appear on the map (look for the Bat-Signal markers). These are guarded by Gotham Henchmen (Blasters and Slicers).

- Check your Journal often. New objectives pop up as you progress.
- The Gotham locations are the key. Clear them thoroughly. The quests are tied directly to those areas.
- Weeks 3 to 4 are catch-up weeks, so you still have time if you start a bit late.
- The flying vehicle, called The Bat, arrives later (October 1 onward during Weeks 5 to 6). Batman himself becomes recruitable as a villager only if you finish the quests from Weeks 1, 2, 5, and 6.
Why These Unlocks Are Worth It in LEGO Fortnite
The iconic Batmobile ’89 does not need any other explanation. The long black silhouette with the turbine rear looks incredible cruising the island. The Grapnel makes vertical movement feel smooth and Batman-like, while the Batglider is perfect for covering big distances or escaping tough fights.
I’ve already been using the Grapnel to zip up cliffs and the Glider to scout new areas. Once you unlock the Batmobile, the whole map suddenly feels a lot more fun to explore. Just follow the Bat-Signal, knock out the Week 1 and 2 quests, and clear those Gotham locations. You’ll have the Batmobile ’89, Grapnel, and Glider in no time.
