Unlocking and flying The Bat in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey is every bit as fun as it looks. It is the airborne counterpart to the Batmobile ’89 that you unlocked back in the first weeks of the Knight Shift update. The last update reward brought us Tim Burton’s iconic Batmobile. This time, you get the flying vehicle from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Returns after finishing the quests.
The reward becomes available after you complete the Drop 2 (Weeks 5 and 6) Knight Shift quests that started on October 2.
How to Unlock The Bat in LEGO Fortnite

To unlock The Bat, which is essentially a flying vehicle, open your journal and check after the October 1 update. In there, you can see that the game will ask you to finish the five Week 5 quests that appear under the Knight Shift section. The final one will hand you the complete flying vehicle.
That being said, do remember that you also need to have finished the earlier Drop 1 quests so you can unlock the later objectives.
Starting the Drop 2 Quests
To begin the Drop 2 quests in LEGO Fortnite, load into any world and open your Journal. The new Week 5 objectives should be waiting there under the Batman tab. If not, make sure that your Fortnite is fully updated to the current version and that you have also cleared the earlier Gotham quests from September.
Once the five quests are listed, you have to work through them in order. Each of the first four gives you a build kit for The Bat, and the fifth quest will complete the aircraft. Here are all the quests and how you can complete them in order:
He Who Laughs Last… Laughs Alone

Objective: Clear the Carnival Grounds
This is one of the Gotham-themed locations that will pop up with the event. Head over to the Bat-signal and take out 14 henchmen, open the chests, and the quest will be marked as completed. For this, you get the Cockpit Kit for The Bat.
An Explosively Delicious Riddle

Objective: Defeat 5 Blasters in the Dry Valley
Blasters are the explosive-type enemies that can be found in the Dry Valley. They are quite easy to spot once you reach their biome. You have to knock out five Blasters, and you will receive the Landing Gear Kit as a reward.
Hold Your Nose

Objective: Craft 5 Stink Jars
To finish this quest’s objective, you will need Stink Glands and a crafting station. You can do this by farming a few scorpions and other stinky creatures, and then craft the jars at a workbench. After creating 5 jars, you can get the Combat Plating Kit as a reward.
Bigger the Muscle, Bigger the Hustle

Objective: Defeat 3 Brutes
This quest can be a bit of a challenge for a few. Brutes are bigger and tankier enemies who can be found in the usual high-threat areas of the map. My recommendation will be to look for them outside the main island. You can face them in the Lost Isles or the Ninjago Island. Take down three, and you can get the Structure Kit as a reward.
Are They Hanging Out Without Me?

Objective: Clear 3 Gotham Challenges
This quest is a little bit similar to the “Gotham City Needs You” level from the Drop 1 questline. To finish this objective, you have to hit three of the Gotham location challenges. For me, it was easy to complete it by defeating henchmen and looting chests. Finishing this will unlock The Bat flying vehicle.
What to Do After Unlocking The Bat in LEGO Fortnite

After you finish the final quest, check your build menu under Vehicles. The Bat should be available as a Quick Build. You can spawn it from there and go flying around the map. That said, the event window for Drop 2 runs through October 15, 2026, so don’t sit on the quests for too long. The Bat is completely separate from the Batmobile ‘89, so you can have both of them.
That is everything you need to know about unlocking The Bat in LEGO Fortnite. Once you have added it to your collection, soar over the island to get a good view and fight enemies.
