Lies of P, Round8 Studio’s upcoming soulslike, has just received a new trailer and a confirmed release date at this year’s Summer Game Fest. It is set to launch on September 19, 2023, with a slight delay from its original August release window. On the bright side, Lies of P has a demo already out for you to get your hands on.
The demo, which is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Game Pass, and PC, offers players a taste of what Lies of P has in store. It includes the first two chapters of the game, introducing key characters, featuring three boss fights, and presenting several locations to explore. Additionally, players can experiment with the weapon assemble feature, Legion Arm loadouts, and discover various outfits that enhance their abilities.
What does the new trailer of Lies of P reveal?
The newly released trailer provides a glimpse into the game’s steampunk and Belle Époque-inspired visuals, as well as showcasing the fluid gameplay of its protagonist, the puppet hero. Set in the atmospheric and nightmarish city of Krat, Lies of P introduces players to a world plagued by deadly puppets and a mysterious plague. As P, the protagonist puppet, players must navigate this treacherous landscape in search of Geppetto, with the ultimate goal of achieving their own humanity.
Jiwon Choi, the game’s project director, expressed their excitement about the upcoming release,
“We’re beyond excited to announce that Lies of P will launch September 19th on console and PC and that fans everywhere can play the demo now. We hope the experience delivers on our creative approach to the Souls-like genre and interpretation of the Pinocchio lore – and looking forward to seeing the response from our incredible community.”
