When you are moving from the early game to the mid game, you will need to make changes to everything, especially to the Pals, to perform better and prepare you for what is waiting ahead. Early Pals are good to a certain point, but replacing them will improve the stats on all gameplay mechanics. With the addition of 70 new Pals from the new update, Palworld 1.0, it can get overwhelming to choose the one for the game. That’s where we come to the rescue; here I’m going to list the best Pals that will set you straight for the mid-game in Palworld 1.0.
All Best Pals for Mid Game

The list will be strictly limited to the mid-game portion of the game, a comfortable zone between lower- and higher-tier pals. I’m narrowing the list down to a handful, as some pals are obtainable in the game, but the equipment required to use the pals unlocks later in the game. There is also the introduction of new machinery that makes some pals irrelevant for the late game. Also, by midgame, I mean when you are between Levels 20 to 50 in Palworld.
- Best Mid-Game Mining Pal
- Best Mid-Game Pal for Farming or Harvesting
- Best Mid-Game Pals for Gliding
- Best Mid-Game Pals for Ingredient/Gold/XP Farming
- Best Mid-Game Pals for Breeding
- Other helpful Mid-Game Pals
I will also be pointing out the alternatives and pairs under most of the key pals on the list to help you opt for maximum performance output.
Best Mid-Game Mining Pal
This section is about the best mining pals for the mid-game journey into Palworld. I will also be mentioning the pals that will go well with Sekhmet.
Sekhmet

Level 6 Handiwork should tell you how good Sekhmet is in the game; she is absolutely one of the best handiworkers in Palworld. Her skills are also great; first, we have a simple upgrade to Anubis’s work speed. The second skill allows her to perform at 30% efficiency when she is working at a workbench, but the game will list the notable boost as a Passive Skill rather than a Partner Skill.
Do note, you will not need Anubis on your base to make Sekhmet perform with a 30% increase in efficiency on the workbench, mining facilities, and others. Just simply assign Sekhmet to the workbench, and she will perform at her highest, alone without the need for Anubis. If you are looking for different pals besides Anubis, then you can add Astegon or Solenne into the mix.
Note: There is an Alpha variation of Sekhmet which performs at an astronomical 200% increase in efficiency while working at a workbench, workshop, or any other facilities. When you do max her out, she will perform at a faster pace, earning the title of best handwork or minor in the game.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Ground
- Partner Skills: Desert Empress: Boosts Anubis’s work speed by 20%. Increase efficiency by 30% when Sekhmet is working on a workbench, workshop, or any other facilities.
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv. 6/ Transporting Lv. 2/ Mining Lv.3
- Drops: Large Pal Soul/ Leather
- Locations: You will find Sekhmet in the southern section of Dessicated Desert and in Sandstone Gate Islet.
The best alternatives for handiwork or mining, I recommend Anubis, Solenne, and Blazamut. Blazamut will be perfect for raw mining, while Solenne is known for the handiwork speciality. And lastly, we have Anubis for Lv.4 handiwork, mining, and mining capabilities. If you are getting Anubis, then I will recommend pairing it with Sekhmet to get the most out of the duo.
Best Mid-Game Pals for Farming or Harvesting
Here it’s all about pals that are good at the farming and harvesting sections of the game. I will also mention alternatives that can help you achieve a better pace at farming and also make up for a perfect pair with Prunelia.
Prunelia

Her 19% harvest boost partner skill is excellent for harvesting and farming in Palworld. If you are seeking a great booster pal for your farm, then look no further than Prunelia. She is an excellent choice for the mid-game and also for the late game.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Grass and Dark
- Partner Skills: Prayer for Abundant Harvest: Prunelia’s prayer blesses the crops to increase their harvest rate by 18%.
- Work Suitability: Planting Lv.3/ Gathering Lv2./ Medicine Production Lv.3/ Transporting Lv.1/ Handiwork Lv.1
- Drops: Low Grade Medical Supplies/ Beautiful Flower/ Carrot Seeds
- Locations: Found in the west section of Feybreak Island.
While there are no good alternatives to Prunelia, as her harvesting is her unique skill or selling point. But we can look at pals that take care of this side of farming; we have Lullu that can make the crop grow fast, and for maximum yield, you can think about getting Frostallion Noct with Lv.5 Gathering, raising the base harvesting outputs.
Best Mid-Game Pals for Gliding
In the early session, you will come across quite a few great gliding pals, but when you move to the mid-game, there is a single definite choice to rule them all.
Galeclaw

While in the early and mid game, you will have plenty of gliding-friendly pals, from Celaray, Hangyu, and Killamari; each one is built differently and comes with its own unique perks. But out of all of them, Galeclaw reigns supreme by giving you the fastest gliding speed, and the second perk is the ability to shoot while gliding. The gameplay becomes more fluid, as you are using your grappling gun, gliding, and shooting down enemies all in the span of a few seconds in between, making Galeclaw an absolute winner!
Note: The gloves are not needed for gliding with the Palworld 1.0 update; the same rule also applies to all the pals that offer a gliding boost.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Neutral
- Partner Skills: Galeclaw Rider: Enables high-speed gliding and shooting from the right hand.
- Work Suitability: Gathering Lv.2
- Drops: Galeclaw Poultry/ Leather
- Locations: Galeclaw is found on Moonless Shore and the area west of Twilight Dunes.
Hangyu will help you reach higher spots as its ascension skill makes you glide upwards; if you want the best of both worlds, then Killamari will make a great choice, as it is a balanced stat for speed and time. But the Galeclaw remains the best when it comes to speed and the freedom to shoot things in the air. While Celaray, Hangyu, and Killamari are perfect for early game runs, for mid-game Galeclaw reigns supreme above all.
Best Pals for Ingredient/Gold/XP Farming
Here we will focus on the grind part of the game; I will focus on Ingredient, Gold & EXP farming for the Mid-Game session in Palworld.
Beegarde

The only job of Beegarde is to supply Honey. Unlike other ingredients, Honey is special as it can’t be bought; it needs to be obtained or farmed. The ingredient becomes very useful for crafting, so you will always be running out of it.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Grass
- Partner Skills: Worker Bee: Drops Honey, raises the stats of Elizabee in the base.
- Work Suitability: Planting Lv.2/ Gathering Lv.3/ Handiwork Lv.2/ Lumbering Lv.2/ Medicine Production Lv.2/ Transporting Lv.2/ Farming Lv.3
- Drops: Honey
- Locations: You will find them in the southwest portion of Verdant Brooks.
Besides Beegarde, the only other way to get Honey is as an item drop. The Pals that drop Honey are: Cinnamoth, Elizabee, and Warsect. They don’t produce Honey; they drop the item after defeat. Beegarde is the only unique that produces Honey.
Dumud

We had our fun with Honey; now we are looking to farm High Quality Pal Oil. While the oil can be bought, the asking price for the oil is a bit steep. The drop rate of the High Quality Pal Oil is very large, so make sure to add a Dumud to the ranch to have a good supply of the oil.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Ground and Water
- Partner Skills: Soil Improver: Drops High Quality Pal Oil when assigned to the ranch. In party, raises the attack damage of Ground pals by 15%.
- Work Suitability: Transporting Lv.1/ Mining Lv.2/ Farming Lv.1/ Watering Lv.2
- Drops: High Quality Pal Oil/ Raw Dumud
- Locations: Found in coastal areas around Mount Obsidian, in Twilight Dunes, and in Bamboo Groves. Some of them can be found in the area sandwiched between Marsh Island and Verdant Brook.
We are picking Dumud for its High Quality Pal Oil drop, unfortunatly no other pals in the game have this perk. Some pals cover the mining side of Dumud, such as Anbuis, Digtoise, or Fuddler. But when it comes to farming High Quality Pal Oil, Dumud is your best bet.
Dumud Gild

Dumud Gild on paper do everything compared to a basic Dumud? As the Gild variant drops High Quality Pal Oil along with Gold Coin. But the chances of Gold Coin are far and few. The best thing to do with these Gild is to sell them to the Pal Merchant. The basic version of Dumud Gild will easily fetch near 20,000 gold.
Tip: I recommend not selling the level version of Dumud Gild; level them up and then sell these pals for 50% more profit. Suffice to say, the Alpha version is worth more. In short, Dumud Gild is an excellent gold farming method for the mid-game in Pal World.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Water and Ground
- Partner Skills: Golden Harvest: Increases the amount of Gold Coins dropped by enemies by 100%, sometimes drops High Quality Pal Oil, and has a small chance to drop Gold Coins in Ranch.
- Work Suitability: Transporting Lv.1/ Watering Lv.2/ Mining Lv.2/ Farming Lv.4
- Drops: High Quality Pal Oil/ Gold Coin
- Locations: Dumud Gild spawns in the same location as the common Dumud. Check out the coastal area of Mount Obsidian to grab one in the game. Take a look at Northern Rock Field, north of Dancing Sakura Shrine island. They are also found in some parts of Dessicated Desert.
Another pal that can fetch a high value in the market is Tentacle Terra; there are also Alpha variants that can earn even more than the base variant. If you are looking for passive Gold income, then Mau and Vixy will be a perfect choice. Mau can be placed into Ranch for continuous gold growth without having to deal with trading. Vixy can help generate coins, arrows, and gold coins, and most importantly, Pal Spears at Ranch.
Omascul

Now that we know about the best Gold Farming method, it’s time to move to EXP farming. Omascul’s partner skill offers parts’ pal EXP gain by 40%. Once you level up the pal, the number will rise to 80%. Do note that you will also find a Lv.60 Alpha Omascul Boss in Feybreak Island, north of Crimson Cliffs.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Dark
- Partner Skills: Masquerade Dance- 40% EXP gain for the party
- Work Suitability: Gathering Lv.5
- Drops: Dark Fragment
- Locations: Found in Feybreak Island
Omascul is the only pal in the game with an EXP boost skill; the best alternative to this pal is to wear items and accessories to raise the pal’s XP growth.
Best Mid-Game Pals for Breeding
If you are looking to give a bit of a boost and find a perfect pair for breeding portion of the pals, this section covers all the details and helpful pairs for the pals in mid-game.
Braloha

Braloha is the best choice for breeding eggs, as it offers a 20% increase to egg production. 20% is the basic default stat; once upgraded to completion, the number will rise to 50% in egg production. Braloha stacks with the Philantrophist passive, where the breeding speed is increased to 100%.
Note: Braloha doesn’t stack with Babysitter passive. While Babysitter passive may look appealing, once you make Braloha to Level 3, its number will be at 32% in Egg Production, surpassing Babysitter’s 30% number.
Braloha is one of the pals that works well with their basic form; upgrading them makes them superior. But on their basic default stats, they are extremely good in farming for mid-game and giving the boost to breeding.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Grass Ground
- Partner Skills: Balmy Weather” Increases the egg production speed of pals assigned to breeding by 20%.
- Work Suitability: Planting Lv.5/ Mining Lv.3/ Gathering Lv.5
- Drops: Leather/ Red Berries/ Lettuce Seeds/ Tomato Seeds
- Locations: You will find this pal at Sea Breeze Archipelago, west of Windswept Hills. In forgotten island, Icewind island, Dessicated Desert, and Oasis Island.
There are significant alternatives to Braloha, but you can pair it with Grintale, which has the perk of a 50% chance to duplicate eggs. The perk of getting more eggs works amazingly well on wild and breeding eggs. Once leveled up, the egg duplication goes to 75%.
Another great pair will be Broncherry or Broncherry Aqua, as their perk allows the chance for common eggs to become Alpha Pal Eggs. Alpha eggs sell more, have better stats, a legendary stat, and drop ancient civilized parts. I will recommend getting Broncherry Aqua for its 45% chance to 35% from the common Broncherry at Level 1.
Other Useful Pals for Mid Game
Here are all the rest of the useful Pals for the mid-game journey. They will help you deal with the other side of the adventure, of carrying things, restoring HP, getting more item drops, and more.
Petallia

The job of Petallia is to restore HP, as her partner activates and restores the player’s HP by 75%. You can put her on the base to raise the base pals’ level by 1. But the primary use of this pal is to help you replenish the lost HP. The 75% is just from Level 1, and the healing is instant without any timer attached to the mechanics. There is a slightly superior version, Petallia Ignis, but she is at World Tree, a late-game area.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Grass
- Partner Skills: Blessing of Flower Spirit: 75 HP restoration
- Work Suitability: Planting Lv.4/Handiwork Lv.3/ Medicine Lv.4/ Transporting Lv.2/ Gathering Lv.3
- Drops: Beautiful Flower/ Carrot Seeds
- Locations: Northeast of Moonless Shore and at Northern Rock Field.
Mimog

This is one of the helpful pals allowing you to unlock any random treasure chest you come across in your journey, as Mimog will open the chest without asking for any key. The skill level will become a determining factor in the type of treasure chest Mimog will unlock.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Neutral
- Partner Skills: Master of Unlocking: Opens treasure chest without key
- Work Suitability: Transporting Lv.2 and Gathering Lv.1
- Drops: Dog Coin/ Gold Coin/ Training Manual XL
- Locations: Almost all around the island.
Turtacle

The simple purpose of this pal is to help you carry more ores by 80% to 100%. Turtacle’s partner skill lowers the ore weight by 80%, allowing you to carry more of them without being bogged down by their weight.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Water
- Partner Skills: Spikey Carrier: reduces Ore weight by 80%
- Work Suitability: Transporting Lv.1/ Watering Lv.2/ Mining Lv.1
- Drops: Bone and Aquatic Pal Fluids
- Locations: Found in Ravine Grotto, Mountain Stream Grotto, Hillside Cavern.
Fuddler

While it offers a 30% to mining efficiency, I’m picking this one for its other partner skill bonus, which adds 80% to the carrying stone weight. If you are getting overencumbered, this pal is the perfect way to carry more items on your back before slowing down.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Ground
- Partner Skills: Mining Assistance: Improves mining efficiency by 30% and reduces weight by 80%.
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv1/ Transporting Lv.1/ Mining Lv.1
- Drops: Leather
- Locations: Found in Cavern of the Dunes, Ravine Grotto, Hillside Cavern, and Isolated Island Cavern.
Splatterina

A 100% item drop from Meat Cleaver while being at a fresh Level 1; it’s the highlight of Splatterina. Once you level her to the max, the overall number will get to 200% item drop. In the late game, you will swap to Pal Disassembly Conveyor for automatic butchering, making Meat Cleaver irrelevant, but for mid game, you will need Splatterina for further work.
Stat and Location Details:
- Type: Dark
- Partner Skills: Blade of Uncontrolled Passion: Using the Meat Cleaver raises the item drop by 100%,
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv.6/ Lumbering Lv.3/ Medicine Production Lv.5/ Transporting Lv.2
- Drops: Dark Fragment
- Locations: Found in Feybreak.
That’s it; now you are set for a smooth sail in the mid-game portion of Palworld.
