Technology Points are pivotal for becoming stronger in Palworld. Whether you want better gear for your Pals or weapons to eliminate powerful foes, these make the foundation. However, I have to say these no shortcuts when it comes to gaining these points.
While shortcuts aren’t a thing, you can certainly be efficient by knowing how the progress system works in Palworld. Thus, in this guide, I’ve explained how to earn Tech Points along with helpful tips to help you progress faster.
How To Gain Technology Points in Palworld 1.0
In simple terms, normal Technology Points can be gained by simply leveling up. So you’re mandated to fight and capture Wild Pals, alongside completing tasks to gain experience points. Technical Manuals are great sources for normal Technology Points as well.
To gain Ancient Technology Points, you’ll need to engage in boss fights (Syndicate and World bosses) and even explore dungeons for mini-bosses. Now, my method requires you to grind both of them simultaneously. In my experience, Palworld encourages mixed gameplay rather than hardcore grinding for one type of upgrade point.
Strategies To Grind for Technology Points Quickly in Palworld
1. Capturing Pals (Early to Late Game)
Whenever you get the chance, try to build and explore, as they provide consistent experience gain. Additionally, I’ll suggest capturing Pals rather than killing them, as it gives more experience points. For the early game, I’d suggest going for capturing Lamball due to their easy nature and high experience yield. As you scale, focus more on Cattiva and Foxparks. So, hop on your mount and travel the world because you’re in for a grind.
2. Resetting Point Tree To Unlock Specific Upgrades (Mid-Game)
I’d also suggest respecing by using Memory Wiping Medicine, while considering your future goals. However, this is only possible after unlocking the Electric Medicine Workbench at Level 43. The primary advantage of this method is the ability to retain a character’s current level while redistributing stats. This lets you be more efficient and gather more experience points with engagement.
This would be the right time to go grind for Ancient Technology Points by going into dungeons and fighting mini-bosses. Your current power level will allow you to take them with ease and gain a lot of Ancient Technology Points in the process.
3. Technical Manual Farm (Mid-Late Game)
Currently in Palworld 1.0, the best method to gain a lot of Technology Points is to capture and breed Lyleen Nocts (Non-Alpha). Once you’ve captured both male and female species, create a Breeding Farm (Tech Tier 19) and feed them. After you gain a lot of eggs, hatch them using a Large Incubator (Tech Tier 48) to get more Lyleen Nocts. I’d suggest getting them in bulk.
Take the hatched series to the Pal Disassembly Conveyor (Tech Tier 56) and add your hatched Lyleen Nocts. There is a 10% chance that you’ll get a Technical Manual from disassembly. Stack them up, and you’ll have a lot of Technology Points in no time. However, this method depends on whether the host server allows it or not. The same works with Anubis as well, but the chances are 5%.
What Are Technology Points Used For?
Technology Points drive your upgrade path in Palworld. If you wish to unlock crafting recipes for building a better base or weapons, regular points would be your go-to. At the same time, Ancient Technology Points are tied to high-tier upgrades and legendary gear.
Since Ancient Technology Points give you the best form of upgrades, these are locked behind bosses. This even includes the new Wing Pack and Wing Cell, which make your traversal a breeze. All in all, these points signify your progress and make use of your upgrade path.
