Now that you have the World Tree at your disposal, you can check out all the new features included in Palworld 1.0. Besides fighting the new boss, you can also farm new materials and build new items. But there is a catch: the items you try to grab in the World Tree will disappear, and you need a unique way to gather items here.
How to Farm World Tree Resources in Palworld
The World Tree is a unique area that offers four new farming materials, namely Paloxite Ore, Radiant Gems, Ancient Relics, and Mythical Wood. You might find them randomly during exploration, but when you try to collect them, they will magically vanish from sight. I had a really hard time trying to figure out how to farm the resources here and almost gave up until I placed a Pal with a particular passive skill in my party.
Currently, there are new passives that are exclusive to the Pals that spawn in the World Tree. All of these rainbow passives, like Dimensional Leap, Twin Edged Holy Blade, and World Tree Seedbed, will have a description that allows you to pick up items within the World Tree.
How to Get World Tree Passive Skills To Collect Resources
There are two ways to get these skills added to your list. You could roam around the World Tree and capture Pals that have a unique glow on them. But these shiny Pals are extremely rare to find, as there are no fixed spawn points. The other method is to collect the new Omnious eggs within the World Tree and hatch them to get the skill.
Unlike shiny Pals, these eggs do have fixed spawn points. I spotted an Omnious egg just beside the bridge that takes us to the new World Boss (-1941, 1404). Use a flying Pal to hover over the broken pillars to find an egg.
Another spawn point is at the southern section of the map, at -1956, 1177. Take the eggs to the hatchery and wait for the offspring to spawn to get the new passive skill activated, after which you can farm all the resources at the World Tree at your leisure.
Other Ways to Farm World Tree Resources
If you are having a bad time with either of the two methods above, there is one quicker solution to this problem. When you step foot in the World Tree, look around for Teafant Fountains. Interacting with these fountains will give you 10x World Tree Holy Water.
You and your Pal need to consume this water to pick up all the new resources here. Holy Water will also drop from defeated enemies, so if you can’t find the fountain, you can always beat up enemy Pals and hope to get it from them.
Another more common way to get World Tree resources is to unlock Expeditions after defeating the final boss here. You can send your Pals out to gather all the new resources without any extra effort. Besides this, if you are lucky enough to get an Ancient Relic during exploration or through an expedition, you can recycle those to get other World Tree resources.
From the get-go, you will find Paloxite Ores and Mythical Trees randomly spawning in the overworld. Use the Plasma Multicutter to quickly collect both resources using one tool.
Paloxite Ores, Radiant Gems and Ancient Relics also drop from fighting enemies. You can also recycle Ancient Relics to get random resources, which are most likely to be the Paloxite Ores and Radiant Gems.
