If you are still waiting around for an hourly timer to refresh, you are playing it the old way. Both the chests now function on Keys instead, which is great news in my opinion. How to Get Lucky Titanic and Gargantuan Keys in Pet Simulator 99
Both Keys can be obtained by smashing the Lucky Blocks inside the event world. There are no separate quests or purchases involved in acquiring the keys, so don’t be confused. The keys are purely a drop from breaking blocks on the Breakout Board. Here’s how you can get them:
Smash the Lucky Blocks to roll for Coins, Diamonds, Keys, and Gifts with every hit.
Both Lucky Titanic Keys and Lucky Gargantuan Keys are possible drops from this process, but remember, they are not guaranteed drops.
Keep smashing and stockpiling items. With the hourly chest timer gone, you don’t have a reason to stop at one Key. Hence, save up several before you begin to open the chests.
How to Find and Smash Lucky Blocks in Pet Simulator 99
The Lucky Blocks are found on your own Breakout Board. It is a dedicated minigame space inside which blocks spawn in waves. You and your pets can smash them.
- These blocks come in four colors: Orange, Red, Black, and Rainbow. The Rainbow blocks will take you a full 12 hits to break.
- Make sure to clear a board’s blocks, as it unlocks the next stage. Your pets can automatically pitch in on the smashing. That said, tap the blocks yourself to speed things up.
- Look out for the Giant Rainbow Bosses, as they show up in a periodic fashion. You have to hit them twice as hard to take them down compared to normal blocks, but the reward will be 3 times the Gifts.
Also note that your Huge, Titanic, and Gargantuan pets also join in on the smashing, considering you have them equipped. The rarer pets hit harder, so your existing collection actually speeds up Key farming.
How Can You Improve Your Odds
To improve your odds in farming the Keys, you must understand that a few systems stack on top of each other to make the Keys and their resulting pets easier to land:
- Before you start smashing, run the Boost Machine. Feed it with Breakout Coins to boost your Huge, Titanic, and Gargantuan chest luck. The boosts will stack up to 6 hours at a time.
- Level up the Chest Luck. This action will give every Key you use more rolls when you open a chest, which will improve your odds per attempt.
- Time your key usage around active boosts, as chests no longer have a cooldown. There is no penalty for holding onto Keys until a Boost Machine timer is actually running.
How to Use the Keys in Pet Simulator 99
Once you have received a Lucky Titanic Key or Lucky Gargantuan Key in your hand, you can use it by heading over to the matching Titanic Chest or Gargantuan Chest. The Key will open immediately, and you won’t have to wait for it. Each Key can only be used once per Chest.
With no more hourly restrictions, opening several Keys back-to-back during an active Boost Machine window is your best shot, in my opinion. This will help land one of the event’s rarer pets.
