The Apprentice Healer side quest in Phantom Blade Zero is quite long and takes you all across the map. This is a simple collection quest with a slight twist on it; the items you need are all scattered in different locations and require a considerable amount of traversal. Some of these are even behind locked areas.
Think of the quest as the games means of pushing you towards newer areas and points of interest. It also helps, that the reward you get for completing the side quest is an accessory that helps you execute Sha-Chi combos with lower stamina consumption.
So, I will show you how to start and finish this quest, while also detailing its rewards.
How To Start The Apprentice Healer Side Quest in Phantom Blade Zero
This quest starts in the Weeping Creek Valley Outpost. You need to talk to the NPC named Yu’er, who is located right next to the Forge. This is the same location you have to enter to find the Outpost Cell Key.
Talk to her and press the ‘Gather Herbs’ dialogue option to start this quest. She will give you a list of three items that you need for this mission. These are:
- Blemish Goldweed
- Congealeaf
- Blood Stopper Vine
Yu’er will be someone you will keep coming across as you explore other regions, and has another side quest tied to her where you get her the Flesh Lily to cure her father. However, these quests can continue in parallel as well, they are not related to each other except for the quest giver.
Blood Stopper Vine
Here are the steps to get this item:
- Fast Travel to the Axemaster’s Holding Cell Bell (marked above).
- From here, head down towards the stream of water.
- You will spot the orange glowing item from a long way away. However, I have still marked the image if you cannot spot it in-game. Interact at this location to get the Blood Stopper Vine.
Congealeaf
There are some extra steps to get to this item. Firstly, you have to open the Weeping Creek Valley locked door. After this is done, follow the steps detailed below:
- From the now-unlocked door, follow the path straight ahead until you come to a small bonfire (marked with a red circle in the image below). Turn right from this fire and keep going.
- Keep going straight until you see a house on your left with a red glowing lantern hanging outside, as shown below. Head inside this house to activate the Long Pillar Overlook Bell
Inside this house, there will also be a chest that has the Rusted Loong Key, so pick that up as well, since it will be useful for the last item. From this Long Pillar Overlook, move north and cross the bridge.
Jump across the gap that is present after this bridge using a wall run. The Congealeaf will be lying right in front of you.
Blemish Goldweed
Head to the above-marked location in the Weeping Creek Valley. I have also marked the Long Pillar Overlook Bell with a red circle so that you know the exact location of this gate. When you get to the locked gate, open it using the Rusted Loong Key.
Follow this unlocked path straight until you come out the other side. The Weeping Creek Long Pillar Bell will be right in front of you, so make sure to activate it before proceeding.
Just keep going straight, and you will find an orange glowing spot in front of you, as shown below.
Phantom Blade Zero Apprentice Healer Side Quest Ending and Rewards
Take the three items back to Yu’er to finish this side quest. She will also give you two items as a reward for finishing her quest:
- Medicine Case: Increases healing from medicine by 20%.
- Lingran’s Pendant: A jade pendant that reduces Sha-Chi consumption when using Sha-Chi combos.
