The Balls to the Wall side quest in Phantom Liberty is yet another mission filled with various choices and their corresponding outcomes in Cyberpunk 2077. This time, it involves a BARGHEST newbie Paco who has been treading on some hot waters recently along with his fellow member Babs.
Turns out Paco has sold some generators he found during a scav mission illegally. Now the catch is that those generators belong to Yuri, who currently has a bullet with Paco’s name written on it. So, whether you snitch on Yuri, help Paco run away, or even ask for external help, the choice is yours to make.
Here are all the options you can choose from in the Balls to the Wall side gig in Phantom Liberty.
Table of Contents
Phantom Liberty: Balls to the Wall Side Quest Location
The Balls to the Wall side quest can be started right after the first main Phantom Liberty mission in the game. To start this side gig, go to the northeast side of Pacifica in Dogtown and head inside the Barghest encampment to speak to Paco and Babs.
All Balls to the Wall Choices
After chatting with Paco and Babs, they will ask for your help coming up with a solution to this situation. You can agree to help them out for a price and present them with three different solutions, which are:
- “Gotta frame Yuri.”
- “At this stage…run for the hills, guys.”
- “See if I can call in some favors. Could work somethin’ out.”
All three choices have different outcomes but none of them affect your main storyline in any way.
Choosing Frame Yuri
If you choose to frame Yuri, he himself confronts you and starts a boss fight. After you have successfully eliminated Yuri, you can find a shard on his body containing an archived conversation between him and Hansen.
According to the shard, Hansen was aware of Paco’s treachery and asked Yuri to take care of the traitor and make an example out of him. You will find Paco’s beheaded body hanging upside down from the Needle.
You can also contact Babs and let her know of Paco’s demise while she informs you of her plans to leave Dogtown and move to Kenya.
Choosing Run for the Hills
Choosing the second option can definitely save Paco’s life in the Balls to the Wall mission. In this choice, you simply hide Paco in his own car’s trunk and drive him out of Dogtown peacefully. Later, you find out that Paco has joined the scavs.
However, Babs stays with the Barghest to clear off Hansen’s suspicions.
Choosing to Call in Some Favors
If you choose to call in some favors, you are given the option to choose and message one of your romantic interests- River, Panam, or Rogue- for help.
If you choose Panam, she will arrange for some transport to get both Paco and Babs out of Dogtown. If you end up choosing River, you can contact her and Rogue to arrange for some spare generators, but then both the Barghest recruits stay in Dogtown.
What is the Best Choice for Phantom Liberty Balls to the Wall Mission?
Although each Balls to the Wall choice depends on your own playstyle in Phantom Liberty, the best choice would be to either help both Babs and Paco leave Dogtown together or arrange for spare generators.
But if you’re aiming to get some more rewards, you can choose the ‘Run for the Hills’ option and help Paco escape, where he later rewards you with a fancy gun.
Mission Rewards
The Balls to the Wall side gig has different rewards according to your selected choice in the game. They are:
- Option 1 Rewards: M-76 Omaha, M-10AF Lexington, Archived Shard
- Option 2 Rewards: Carmen Power Assault Rifle, 8000 Eurodollars
- Option 3 Rewards: Carmen Power Assault Rifle, Solo Skill Shard
