The Adventures of Elliot features a gripping storyline about its world, and its long list of side quests provides an excellent lore-building for the characters. Wonderful Friends is another side quest that requires us to collect unique items in the game. Why do it? Because the reward for completing the side quest is for completing it. Here is a full walkthrough of the Wonderful Friends side quest in the Adventures of Elliot.
Starting Wonderful Friends Side Quest
The quest takes place in Weyzn in the Nation of Magic in the Age of Magic, southeast of the map, as shown in the image above. From here, enter the building on the right, next to the stairs, to get inside Formanit Institute. Now head up the stairs to the upper floor, and you will find Marnie NPC, talk to her, and you will get the Wonderful Friends quest, with the task of collecting 7 Thaumaton Parts.
Thaumata Parts are the items we need to collect, but they can not be obtained from a chest or a store. Here, you need to hunt down a specific enemy for the drop actively. Collecting all 7 Thaumata Parts will reward us with a Discerning Monocle.
Note: The item is not required for any of the game’s multiple endings. It’s built for gameplay or combat purposes.
All Thaumaton Parts Locations In The Adventures of Elliot
For the Thaumaton Parts, we need to pack our bags and leave for the Eastern Hucarea in the Age of Safekeeping, south of the map.
We have marked the spot on the map. Why this specific area? This area spawns many Thaumatas, black insect-like creatures roaming in the area. Just kill them, and you will get a single Thaumata Part per kill. Take down 7 of these Thaumata creatures, and you will have all the Thaumata Parts required to complete the objective. Now head back to the Formanit Institute (Weyzn in the Nation of Magic), and talk to the quest client, Marnie, to finish the side quest Wonderful Friends. You will get the reward, Discerning Monocle, which raises the window for precise guard by 100%, helpful in many combat encounters in The Adventures of Elliot.
