The ongoing event in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin introduced a lot of new content in the game. A new playable region, new cutscenes, treasure chests to collect, and limited-edition cosmetics for your characters. But currently, there are also waves of a potentially game-breaking bug that is preventing players from completing the event. In this guide, we’ll explore the nature and a few workarounds of this bug.
Best Fix For A Midsummer Day’s Dream Bug on PlayStation

This one is by far the most reliable out of all the fixes. It has worked for almost all players who encountered the bug on PlayStation. You are required to download the Seven Deadly Sins: Origin app via the Play Store or App Store, log in with the same credentials as your PS5, and that’s it – you should now be able to take the photo and trigger the next cutscene.
Note: There are reports of some versions of iPhone still encountering the bug, while the Android versions have no issues.
Fix #2: The Ol’ Restart

This might seem like baseline advice, but have you tried turning it off and on again? Jokes apart – a lot of bugs especially in video games can be fixed with simple system restart. Restart your console and go up to Elizabeth to check if you get the prompt now – preferably with less players around.
Fix #3: Switch Platforms, Again

If the previous method doesn’t work for you, consider switching to PC. A lot of players have reported that logging in through Steam and playing via the Netmarble launcher allowed them to take the photo and complete the event. You can do this either by linking your accounts, or using the same credentials to log in. PC Master Race?

A Midsummer Day’s Dream Bug Explained
The Midsummer Day’s Dream event takes players to a brand new location called Spray Island. There are a tons of activities you can do here like boating, fishing, mining ores (there are a few great ones), and even raids. However, if you are tired of exploring and want to experience the new cutscenes and story content the devs added to the game, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to – especially if you’re playing on a PlayStation.

As of me writing this article, there is a game-breaking bug during the Day 5 quests of the event. This last set of quests sees you participate in one final boat race, which unlocks the “Memories in the Spray” sub-quest on completion. The sub-quest objective is simple: Take a photo with Elizabeth. After you navigate to the objective marker, you will spot Mannie, Merlin, Elizabeth, and Cloto all standing near the water’s edge. This is where PS5 players are encountering the issue.
Ideally, approaching Elizabeth should automatically trigger an in-game prompt to take the picture. Not only is the “trigger” missing, but even manually clicking a photo with PlayStation’s built-in photo mode does not work. Since this bug occurs during the main questline, the entire event bottlenecks at this point, essentially locking players out from completing it.
