Epic Games has been the messiah for gamers all over the world these past couple of years giving away free games every week. The program has even offered AAA titles like Grand Theft Auto 5, Death Stranding, and Metro Last Light Redux during their Christmas giveaways. Now, it seems like they are not going to stop their generosity anytime soon.
When asked to speak at the recent Unreal Fest 2023, Kyle Billing, the Director of Product and Content Strategy at Epic Games, shared that Epic Games Store plans to continue their free game giveaways throughout 2023 and even beyond.
According to their statistics, this free giveaway venture has garnered over 90 million new users to the site. This Free Games Program has also become a driving force for user acquisitions and conversion to paying users.
The Epic Games Store is currently giving away Blazing Sails and the Q.U.B.E Ultimate Bundle till October 16, 2023, for absolutely zero cost. It has already announced free titles for next week: Eternal Threads and The Evil Within.
Epic Games Store’s New Ambitions

Epic Games is set to launch Epic First Run, a program focusing on newly released titles that are exclusive to their store. They’ve planned another program called Now on Epic that will incentivize partners to include their titles on the Epic Games Store from October 16, 2023.
The Unreal Fest 2023 also revealed their plans for their first evergreen campaign known as Deals of the Week. It aims to surface content outside of its Tentpole campaigns and is currently asking for participation from everyone. New deals are said to go live every Tuesday.
Epic Games Store users will also see some improvements to the game library system of the Epic Games Store Client and Launcher, thanks to the company focusing more on systray restore timings. This will resolve some of the cold issues faced by users worldwide.
Other than that, users can also look forward to some product page improvements, improved wishlist communications, a supposed “For You” personalization blade, and more very soon.
