A crossover for Final Fantasy 16 is coming to Final Fantasy 14 Online. This allows PC players to enjoy parts of the currently-PS5-exclusive title. Apart from PC, gamers playing Final Fantasy 14 on PS4 and PS5 as well as Mac can also enjoy this crossover questline.
During the Final Fantasy Fan Fest in London on Oct 21, 2023, Square Enix announced a special crossover event between the two games. Through this crossover event, the protagonist of FF16, Clive Rosfield will be joining the ranks of FF14’s protagonist, known as The Warrior of the Light. The crossover is officially dubbed as The Path Infernal.
What Can Players Expect From The Path Infernal?
The Path Infernal crossover event is set to be loosely based upon the story of Final Fantasy 16. However, the developer has taken a careful approach as to not ruin the complete FF16 experience for players who haven’t yet experienced the latest installment. This event seems to be crafted as a ramp up to FF16’s PC release, which has been confirmed to be in development.

Based on the announcement video, players can expect to battle certain Valisthean enemies, such as Ifrit – the destructive Eikon and one of the main bosses in FF16. The FF14 crossover event will also include a chance for players to collect FF16-specific gear and treasures to loot. Furthermore, this crossover event will also allow players to collect and equip Clive’s outfit from FF16 as a costume for FF14’s lead Warrior of Light.
PC Players Can Ride Famed Final Fantasy 16 Companion, Torgal

Torgal is one of the main characters in FF16. He’s a pet Frost Wolf belonging to Clive. A fierce and loyal companion, he assists Clive during the fights by bringing a range of powerful attacks to the table. During this FF16 x FF14 crossover, Torgal (as well as puppy Torgal seen in flashback sequence at the beginning of Final Fantasy 16) will be available to players as a unique mount. Puppy Torgal is supposed to act as a minion and companion for the players in this event.
This Final Fantasy 14 crossover can be attributed to Square Enix veteran Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of FF14 and also the producer for FF16. As announced by Yoshida in September, a PC port for FF16 will soon be coming to PC. However, there have been no official announcements about the release window). The PC port for FF16 will feature certain quality of life improvements, new control schemes geared towards PC keyboard, as well as two unique and paid FF16 DLCs.
