Confirming leaks that surfaced earlier this week, a new character is coming to the popular online battle royale, Fortnite. The next-gen Spider-Man, Miles Morales, is confirmed to be featured in the game, joined by Spider-Man 2099, a popular version of the character from Marvel Comics.
The new character will be featured pretty soon with the Fortnite update V24.40. Players will have the opportunity to play as Miles Morales and have an option to toggle the Spider-Man mask on or off.

Two new NPCs coming to Fortnite along Miles Morales
Apart from these two playable characters, two NPCs from the Spider-Verse are also expected to make an appearance in the game. According to leakers, players will be able to meet Spider-Gwen as well as Renzo the Destroyer in their adventures in Mega City.

Based on the leaks so far, Spider-Gwen will be roaming the Mega City looking for Miles, who is missing. Players will be able to interact with her to move the story further and also purchase some cool new gadgets and assets from her. It is rumored that Web-shooters from the Spider-Verse will be available to purchase from Spider-Gwen. Leakers also expect that the Miles Morales suit and Spider-Man 2099 suit will be added to the game’s item shop soon.

Another exciting new addition in Fortnite V24.40 is the ranked mode, wherein the players will be able to undertake quests and challenges to win cosmetic items. In this mode, players will be divided in different categories. Players will start at the bottom and rise up in ranks, according to their gameplay.
