According to the latest GTA 6 rumor, Rockstar’s next entry to the franchise supposedly has Cuba as one of the in-game locations. And apparently, players will be able to access the location as part of a time jump, somewhere in the game’s campaign, much like Guarma in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The leak came from Tyler McVicker, who has previously been a reliable source of Valve insider info. Although McVicker has a solid track record in the past, he is not yet known to have insider info on Rockstar Games. In addition to mentioning Cuba as an in-game location, McVicker said,
“We already know how GTA VI is gonna end. Spoilers, Bonnie and Clyde back in like the 30s, died in a blaze of gunfire. It’s not three playable characters, it’s two playable characters. It takes place with a time jump. It takes place in the Miami, Florida, area and then also part of Cuba. It’s about the drug trade. It’s about bank robbing. It’ll be out in 2024.”
From earlier leaks, we already know that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City, which is a fictional recreation of the real-life city of Miami. Considering the short geographical distance between Miami and Cuba, it’s not too outlandish to have Cuba as an in-game location, especially as part of a story flashback.
Although GTA 6 was absent from the PlayStation Showcase, fans of the series are expecting to hear some official announcement about the game soon. This sentiment is fueled by Take-Two’s recent openness in discussing the game, even going as far as hinting at a possible release within the upcoming fiscal year.
