It’s been a decade since the release of the last Grand Theft Auto game, and we have very little information about the next instalment, GTA 6. With no concrete word from developer Rockstar Games, the gaming community has been resorting to rumors and supposed leaks that surface every now and then.
While most of the rumors are about the possible release date for GTA 6, some exciting new leaks promise more accurate information regarding the game. That being said, readers should take these speculations with a pinch of salt.
New water physics in GTA 6
After Rockstar Games’ last release, Red Dead Redemption 2 was hailed as one of the most impressive games of all time, fans are expecting a bunch of new gameplay mechanics and interesting missions. According to rumors, Rockstar Games has hired 20 engineers dedicated to working exclusively on the water physics of GTA 6.

It is also rumored that the developer will include the first-ever surfing component in the upcoming game, something that was never previously done in GTA series.
Inclusion of fishing and wildlife
Some rumors have also shed light on what new side missions or exploration activities would be featured in GTA 6. According to GTA 6 Trailer Countdown, GTA 6 will include fishing, similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, and will also feature extensive wildlife, previously unseen at large in GTA series.

New and expanded map
According to a leak, the GTA 6 map will be twice the size of its predecessor and will be set in Vice City, the fictional town based on Miami. The leaked concept art shows promise, with gaming community hoping to get more of side missions, quests, and exploration done, apart from main campaign.

GTA 6 might release in 2025
As there has not been a single official trailer or reveal announcement for GTA 6, some leakers believe that even if we get one this year, that will mean the release of this new title will happen in 2025. Rockstar Games usually takes two years between trailer release and title release.
Now that 2022 is over without a GTA 6 trailer, a 2024 release is out of the window.

Most expensive game of all time
As the most anticipated installment of one of the most popular video game series ever, there’s no doubt that GTA 6 will be made on a humongous budget and, therefore, will carry a hefty price tag. According to some leaks, the game has almost four times the budget of GTA 5, costing Rockstar Games nearly $1 billion to make. If this is indeed true, it’s no doubt that this game will be a trailblazer, introducing new mechanics and gameplay elements, and pushing the limits of what a video game should be.
