Using these credit cards for transactions guarantees points that can be redeemed for Games or Add-ons at the Xbox store. Microsoft assures that for every $1 spent, consumers will be able to earn 5x points on Microsoft store products, 3x points on Netflix and Disney+ streaming services, 3x points on Grubhub and DoorDash, and 1x points on all other purchases that include these mentioned products.
This is a pretty big step for Microsoft as it has been more than a decade since the 2005 Xbox Diamond loyalty cards were produced, and now with PlayStation’s own credit cards on the running, the competition will be tough.
Microsoft’s New Xbox Credit Card will grant users 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate after first purchase
Other offers include 5,000 card points after the first purchase, three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that can either be gifted or used as a new game pass member, five variants of credit card design with personalized gamertags, and Fraud Liability protection with certain terms and conditions to adhere to.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes benefits from Xbox Live Gold as well as 100+ PC and console games to try. It can also include selective discounts and member deals from time to time.
Keep in mind, that Xbox Mastercards are only available for Xbox Insider members currently living in the US, Alaska, or Hawaii. You can apply to be an Xbox Insider here for a chance to get a hold of these fancy new cards.
