Baldur’s Gate 3 offers you an option to craft a special weapon for yourself during the Masterwork Weapon Quest. The quest is a part of the main story in Act 1 and is mainly used for upgrading any one of the three weapons namely the sickle, dagger, and greatsword. It serves a significant purpose of providing an advantage over enemies with an Enchantment effect.
The effect helps to silence the targeted enemies and lets you restrict them from using any type of spell. Additionally, it adds a +1 damage to your weapon as well. So, let us take a look at how to finish the Masterwork Weapon Quest in BG3.
How to Finish the Masterwork Weapon Quest in BG3
To finish the Masterwork Weapon Quest, you need to take care of two main aspects. The first is the finding of the blueprints for the masterwork weapon and the second is locating the source of a crucial element named the Sussur Tree Bark. However, that’s where the trouble begins as there is not much information available during the quest to go through. So, let’s have a look at the steps involved to locate these items and finish the quest:
- You need to visit a house to the right of the Blighted Village entrance and read a book named Highcliff’s Journal that will kickstart the Masterwork Weapon Quest for you.
- As per the book, you need to find the blueprints for the weapon somewhere in the house.
- Now, you need to burn the webs on the trapdoor in the next room, make your way into the basement of the house where you will find a chest, and open it to get the blueprints.

- After collecting the Sussur Tree Bark you need to return to the basement of the same house in Blighted Village to use the melting furnace for crafting the Masterwork Weapon.

- Next, you have to put up any one weapon of the three which are the sickle, dagger, and greatsword, and combine it with the already selected item as well.
Finally, the Masterwork Weapon Quest will be completed as your choice of weapon will be forged in the furnace. Here are the stats of each of the three weapons when forged with the Sussur Bark.
- Sussur Greatsword – This weapon silences the enemies with slashing damage of 2D6+1.
- Sussur Dagger – This weapon deals piercing damage of 1D4, silencing the enemies, and has a range of 1.5 m.
- Sussur Sickle – This weapon deals slashing damage of 1D4+1 and silences the enemies.
