July 2023 will officially mark the beginning of the summer anime cycle. After experiencing a dry spell of anime releases in May and June, July anime TV series are here to bring much satisfaction for the otakus. Moreover, the month is all about the hyped releases, seeing some of the biggest names in industry making their comeback. However, accompanying them are some original anime TV series whose promotional contents have got anime watchers all excited. So, without any further ado, here is the complete list of all the anime TV series that will be releasing in July 2023.

The most anticipated releases of July 2023

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces (July 1)

As the title suggests, the upcoming anime will be adapting all the parts from the original Horimiya manga that were earlier not included in the 2021 anime adaptation. Although the parts that will be covered will be seen once the anime is released, it is to be sure that fans would see more of the fan-favorite couple, Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura.

Mushoku Tensei:Jobless Reincarnation season 2 (July 3)

Resuming the plot of season, the second season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will start adapting from volume 7 of the light novels of the same name. Crunchyroll describes the series as the follows:

“When a 34-year-old underachiever gets run over by a truck, his story doesn’t end there. Reincarnated in a new world as an infant, Rudy will seize every opportunity to live the life he’s always wanted. Armed with new friends, some freshly acquired magical abilities, and the courage to do the things he’s always dreamed of, he’s embarking on an epic adventure—with all of his past experience intact!”

My Happy Marriage (July 5)

One of the most anticipated anime TV series of July 2023, this shojo anime will see Miyo Saimori’s marital relationship with her husband Kiyoka Kudou. Although the latter holds the reputation to be cold and emotionless, she soon finds out that these are all rumors. While love isn’t easy, it gradually blossoms between the two as they navigate the trials and tribulations that will be born out of their union.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 (July 6)

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is set to cover two important arcs from the manga – Hidden Inventory Arc and the Shibuya Incident Arc. The first one will see Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieri as students in Jujutsu High, focusing on the friendship of the first two and retrieving the Star Plasma Vessel for Master Tengen. The second arc will see Gojo being trapped and the start of the Culling Game. Meanwhile, a few new villains will be seen.

Rurouni Kenshin (July 7)

This re-adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Rurouni Kenshin will see the former assassin Himura Kenshin on a journey to redeem himself after the war. In his journey, he will meet Kamiya Kaoru, the owner of a dojo, and form a bond with her. As romance blooms between the two, their story will be filled with tales of battles and adventure.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War part 2 (July 8)

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War part 2, titled The Separation, will see the battle between Yhwach’s Strenritters and Soul Society. The upcoming cour will be particularly interesting as viewers will see Ichigo using his new Zanpakuto while some of the unseen Bankais of certain Soul Reapers will be animated.

Rent-A-Girlfriend season 3 (July 8)

The upcoming anime TV series will adapt the Dream Arc, where Kazuya and Chizuru will be making a film to fulfil Chizuru’s grandmother’s wish to see her granddaughter as an actress. The season will also introduce Mini Yaemori, which will increase the complexity of Kazuya’s pursuit of finding the right girlfriend.

Hero Classroom (July 9)

Although not as hyped as other entries in this list, Hero Classroom is expected to gain popularity once it starts airing. MyAnimeList describes the series as follows:

“Long ago, a powerful demon lord ruled over the people until an equally powerful hero rose up to defeat him. To counter future threats, Rosewood Academy, a school for heroes-in-training, was created. Today, Rosewood Academy enrolls only the best of the best, and Arnest Flaming is the best of them all. The top student in the school, a dutiful girl nicknamed “Empress of Flame,” she has an irritating encounter with a light-hearted boy in the school hallway one day who seems to equal her powers, though she’s never seen him before. He introduces himself only as Blade, and Arnest soon finds out not only is he transferring into the school as a new student, but she is personally requested by the King to help him settle in to daily life in Rosewood Academy.”

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead (July 9)

This horror anime has a comedic twist to it as it sees Akira Tendou realize the tedious and selfish world of corporate. As he realizes the life out of him fade, Akira discovers that the world he lives in is actually comprised of humans and animals as well as zombies. When earlier he was tired with his life, the survivalistic instincts re-energizes him to live his life in action along with his human companions.

Bungo Stray Dogs season 5 (July 12)

The fifth season of Bungo Stray Dogs will see the adaptation of Kamui Revelation Arc and some parts of Vampire Outbreak Arc in 10 episodes. Here, the infamous Kamui’s identity will be revealed as Atsushi and Akutagawa join hands to go against him. Meanwhile, Fyodor and Dazai are in Meursault prison, but their jail time will be interrupted by Nikolai (and Sigma) proposing a deadly game of survival.

Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You – High School Days (July 12)

Comprising of four episodes, the upcoming installment of Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You – High School Days will see the male protagonist, Nasa, find a difficulty as he gets assigned to teach at an girls’ school. The synopsis, as per MyAnimeList, reads:

“Nasa, at the request of his former junior high school teacher, Ms. Yanagi, finds himself entrusted with teaching a programming class at a high school. But here’s the catch—it’s an all-girls’ school. Surrounded by the limitless energy of teenage girls, Nasa tries to maintain his composure, but deep down, he can’t help feeling nervous. A capricious boyfriend, secret admiration for someone, and a multitude of romantic dilemmas that can’t be solved by programming, Nasa wonders if he can crack the equation of love!”

Spy Classroom season 2 (July 13)

Spy Classroom season 1 was inconsistent with its episode releases, but it had managed to still become popular. Now, with season 2 coming this July, it remains to be seen what else the anime TV series will bring to the table. As of now, no official synopsis of season 2 has been released, but as per Yen Press, Spy Classroom is described as:

“In the aftermath of a devastating military conflict, nations engage in covert warfare. Amidst this clandestine landscape, Klaus, an extraordinary spy known for his peculiarities, never fails in his missions. Now, he is assembling a team to undertake an Impossible Mission—a mission with a staggering 90 percent chance of failure. However, his chosen members are all inexperienced individuals who have yet to prove themselves. To succeed, they must employ every trick in the book and even create some new ones to demonstrate their worth!”

The Devil Is a Part-Timer!! season 3 (July 13)

This season of The Devil Is a Part-Timer!! will see Sadao Maou (Satan) and Suzuno Kamazuki (Crestia Bell) trying to save Shiou Ashiya, Asas Rasmas, and Emi Yusa. The events will take place after a mysterious attack injures Lucifer, or Hanzou Urushihara, and Chiho Sasaki.

Baki Hanma season 2 (July 26)

Baki Hanma season 2 will adapt The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga from the manga. Here, the titular hero would come across the prehistoric caveman, Pickle. After he is taken to Mitsunari Tokugawa, the protagonist will be seen battling several famous names and incredible fighters from all across the globe.
