Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 (COD MW4) has two diverging choices during its campaign, where you have to either hide the North Korean villager or report her, with both options leading to similar outcomes, with only slight variations. This tests the player’s morality against their self-preservation. However, if you are struggling to make a choice, then I will explain both outcomes so that you can make an informed decision.
Option 1: Report the North Korean Villager in Modern Warfare 4

In the mission where you play as a North Korean soldier, you are tasked with searching a house and rounding up all the civilians outside. However, the mission takes a turn when you find a villager hiding inside a hatch in the kitchen.
This hatch is locked initially, but after a short dialogue conversation, she opens it up for you to inspect. Here, you have two options: hide her or report her.
If you report her, then she is rounded up with the rest of the civilians. The player character remains safe. However, the woman, alongside the rest of the village, meet a grizzly end as Commander Ri Ju-Young orders for all of them to be killed, and the village burns.
Note: Reporting her and getting her out of the hiding spot IS necessary for earning the final note for the No Stone Unturned achievement.
Option 2: Hide the North Korean Villager in Modern Warfare 4

Meanwhile, if you hide her, the decision initially turns out to be correct as nobody suspects a thing. However, the woman is caught by another soldier anyway while trying to escape the house.
Firstly, this results in the player character being hanged alongside the deserter. Moreover, the woman and the village meet the same fate as before. They are all killed, resulting in no change from the previous option.
Should You Report the North Korean Villager Or Hide Her?

The outcome for the woman does not change based on the decision you make. Your decisions only affect whether your character lives or dies.
If you want your character to live, then report the woman, and then accept the rope to hang the defector yourself. Refusing to do even one of these will result in your character dying in this mission.
Do note that your character dying does not mean you fail the mission. It is a minor event in the grand scheme of the overall campaign. So, I would recommend reporting the villager (simply for the achievement completion).
After you are done with the campaign, maybe you will want to start the DMZ mode, where you can loot police stations or place transmitters on top of the radio tower.
