In the N’Erud realm, a part of the Remnant 2 main quest is to find the Seeker’s Keys, and out of them, the final one is in Spectrum Nexus. You can unlock the path to the Spectrum Nexus in Remnant 2 immediately after completing the Hatchery Dungeon. While finding the key is pretty straightforward, there is one major challenge. Between you and the last seeker’s key lies N’Erud’s toughest boss, The Custodian’s Eye.
Remnant 2: The Custodian’s Eye boss fight strategy
The difficulty level of this boss cannot be emphasized enough and you need to be well-armed and prepared for this fight. So, before heading into the Sentinel dungeon, ensure that all your weapons are upgraded. Remant 2’s The Custodian’s Eye is a main sentinel boss and possesses multiple means of attack, most of them involving the usage of laser beams. There is a lot of dodging involved, so get ready for that as well.
The first mode of attack from the Remnant 2 boss is a thick purple beam which is slow but does a lot of damage. The beam also leaves a trail that does area-of-effect damage, so it is better to stay as far away from the beam as possible. Landing critical hits is the best way to bring the Custodian Eye’s health down. But you can only land critical hits when it is attacking. So, the purple beam is a great window of opportunity to land as many as possible.
The second weapon in the Custodian Eye’s arsenal is its army of drones. It only unleashes only three drones at a time, but does so at regular intervals. The drones are quite menacing and can hover around you. They can even swarm you if you are not careful. It is prudent that you deal with the drones as soon as they are unleashed because this is just a prelude to its next attack.
The Eye’s next attack is multidirectional red laser beams which come just moments after the drones are unleashed. The three red beams are symmetrical and rotate after reaching a certain level close to the floor, and they cover the entire arena. So, you have to anticipate the beam’s pattern. The moving platforms can be of great help in dodging this attack. During this attack, there is a platform trap laid out which marks parts of the floor that are going to collapse. You need to steer clear of these traps.
You can also get a clear shot at the Custodian Eye’s core which is clearly exposed while firing these red beams especially when it has lowered itself. The red beams are unleashed only after the drones, but spawning the drones doesn’t always mean this attack will be executed.

Its next attack involves blue beams which are fired in random directions and often in a converging pattern. The beam is accompanied by a platform maneuver which splits it into concentric tiers. The lowest tier of the platform is the most confined part and you are a sitting duck there. So, try to stay in the upper levels during this attack. This is also the time when The Custodian’s Eye is most stationary, so try to land as many hits as possible at the core.
The Custodian Eye’s most dangerous attack is a blue laser barrage which is both fast and repetitive. Here, you get to face multiple shots which deal a lot of damage and are quite hard to dodge if you are in the open. Furthermore, healing becomes quite difficult as you are constantly hit by the barrage. The best way to deal with this attack is to hide behind the platforms which now begin moving upwards to form barricades. Although the core is exposed during this attack, dodging is the best course of action. Maneuver yourself behind the raised platforms to avoid this attack.
All in all, if you deal with these attacks and target the weak spot when the boss is at its most vulnerable, you can do a lot of damage. The key to dealing with this boss is to keep your health above 75 percent as the hits can be quite heavy. The blue beams, and the blue shots barrage in particular, can take you out instantly. Try to target the core when The Custodian’s Eye is stationary or when it is moving vertically while delivering the red beam. With this strategy of dodging, ducking for cover, and attacking, you can defeat Remnant 2’s The Custodian’s Eye with a fair bit of ease.
