To make your weapons powerful and useful when facing overpowered enemies in No Rest for the Wicked, you’ll need Runes. Runes are essentially modifiers that can add extra stats to your weapons and armor, making them stronger. However, finding the best Runes suited for your weapons can be a difficult task to achieve.
Find Runes In No Rest for the Wicked
There are two ways to get Runes in No Rest for the Wicked:
- Weapons – Some weapons that you find in chests already come with random runes attached. You can extract those runes to apply them to your preferred weapon or upgrade the original weapon with more runes. But, do keep in mind that extracting the rune does destroy the weapon in the process.
- Eleanor’s Shop – Eleanor the Enchanter is a merchant found in Sacrament who sells Runes in her shop. You can also use her shop to extract runes and attach different runes to your weapons. She sells gems with special stats that you can infuse with your weapons and add useful spells and even has the ability to enchant your weapons to change their rarity.
Once you are able to upgrade the Sacrament buildings in the game, the list of Runes in Eleanor’s shop will also increase, giving you more choices for your preferred weapon.
To attach/remove a Rune, simply navigate to the Rune tab once you speak to Eleanor, and then add/remove the rune you want from the selected weapon. All weapons have 4 rune slots but you can only extract one of them before the weapon breaks.
