Titan Quest 2 is an action RPG from Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic, where your objective is to fight alongside gods and change the course of fate. The game’s currently in early access, which offers about 20 hours of playtime, where you get to explore the world, complete quests, and try out different characters.
One of the most fun aspects of the game is the puzzles, and one that you’ll come across is the Trickster’s Shrine puzzle. The solution is very simple, but it relies on collecting an important item and a little bit of historical knowledge about a certain Greek God.
Trickster’s Shrine Puzzle Quest Guide in Titan Quest 2

The first step in completing the Trickster’s Shrine Puzzle is to collect an item called the Caduceus. This is essentially Hermes’s staff, and you’ll have to place it on the shrine in front of the Trickster’s Puzzle altar. Once you place the staff, the next clue to the puzzle will be revealed.
The clue to the puzzle states that you’ll have to find a beast that Hermes used to craft the first Lyre and sacrifice it. In Green mythology, Hermes crafted the first Lyre by using a Tortoise shell. This means you have to look for a Tortoise and bring it near the Trickster’s Puzzle altar.
Getting access to a Tortoise is quite easy; all you need to do is walk in front of the shrine, and you’ll find a Tortoise nest. As you approach it, an animal called the Giant Turtle-Snapper will appear. Hit it once, and the animal will start following you towards the altar.
Bring it close to the altar, and you’ll notice that it starts glowing with a yellow light. Once close to the altar, defeat the animal, which shouldn’t be hard at all. As the animal dies, the puzzle is considered complete, and you’ll receive Gold, 5225 Experience points, and one Attribute point as a reward.
Where to find the Caduceus in Titan Quest 2

The Caduceus can be found in a small Bandit camp located in the Southern Flooded Farmlands region. If you follow the main quest, The Search For the Sky God, you’ll proceed towards the North. From here, start exploring East, and you’ll come across the Bandit Camp with the Caduceus.
In order to reach the location of the Trickster’s Puzzle, you’ll have to travel North of where you found the Caduceus. This will take you to the Shrieking Ruins, where you’ll find the Hermes’ Shrine and initiate the Trickster’s Puzzle in Titan Quest 2, as discussed in the previous section.
