Since most of the areas in the world of The Adventures of Elliot are filled with water, you, like many others, probably wondered if it is possible to take a deep dive into the water. The short answer is yes, you can take a deep dive into the waters in The Adventures of Elliot, but you will need a specific item to unlock the underwater diving skill. Here in the article, we will cover the quickest way to learn how to dive in The Adventures of Elliot.
Learning How to Dive Underwater in The Adventures of Elliot

You need to collect the Diving Manual located in sublevel 2 of the Water Ruins to dive underwater in the Adventures of Elliot. First things first, head to the Water Ruins in the Age of Reconstruction, as shown on the map above. Swim to the island, found in the middle of the map, and get inside the Water Ruins. There are two levels to Water Ruins; and getting to the “Diving Manual” has you solving a couple of puzzles, which I have detailed below.
Water Ruins Puzzle #1

We will have to solve the puzzle to lower the steel barricade blocking our path to the next room. If you look at the top-right of the screen, you will be able to see the steel red glowing barricades. It can only be lowered by standing on a pressure plate. Unfortunately, the pressure plate is submerged in the water, and we can’t dive to push it. So first we have to release the water to walk around the area, then stand on the pressure plate to lower the steel barricade, and then bring the water back to get to the next room.
- First, hit the orb (A) on the top; it will release all the water, allowing you to walk on the platform that was submerged in water before.
- The second step is to walk to the pressure plate on the right side of the room, as marked on the map above. This will immediately lower the steel barricade at the top-right of the room.
- Now hit the orb (B) next to the barricade to bring the water back to the stage. So we will be able to swim to the platform with the barricade and make it to the next room.
Water Ruins Puzzle #2

After going through the steel barricade, the next room will be just like the previous room, filled with water. And our way is located on the right side of the room, leading to the lower floor. But again, the same old water is blocking the passage.
Here, just head to the next room; I have marked the way with an arrow on the image above. After some minor platforming, you are going to find a single orb at the corner. Just hit it once, and it will drain the water from the orb room (The room that you are currently in), the second room (leading to the Main path), and the first room too.
Grabbing the Blue Water Ruins Key

Head to the second room and make your way down to Water Ruins, Sublevel One. It’s pretty straightforward, just head south, and you will see a purple treasure chest at the right corner, open it to get the “Blue Water Ruins Key” (Key Item). With this item, we can unlock the special room at the first level, where we solved the first puzzle in Water Ruins.
With the Key in hand, head over to the first room. Now, head to the top-left side of the room, and you will find a blue glowing door. Use the Blue Water Ruins Key to open it.
Water Ruins Puzzle #3

In the next room, after using the Blue Water Ruins Key, you will find yourself in a new area. The new room has a steel barricade blocking access to the left side of the room. So, first hit the orb on the right side of the room, as marked on the map with a red circle. This will bring the water back to the level and, more importantly, remove the steel barricade dividing the main route.
Now get into the water, as the water will be at the platform level. Swim to the left side of the room and then move south, and you will find another hole at the corner leading to the deeper level of Water Ruins, Sublevel Two.
In the next area, the primary route is linear; follow the route, and you will arrive at the open area combat section. Since the area is huge, you are probably aware of what will unfold in this section. Prepare for a fight against Frauki Cap (4 Star). Defeat the monster and then take the exit on the right, and you will find a giant red treasure box at the end. Interact with the treasure chest to grab the Diving Manual, allowing you to dive into the water in The Adventure of Elliot.
