Palworld 1.0 introduces some new and advanced weapons at your disposal to tackle the new enemies on the map. You get to craft them at the exclusively new workbenches with all the 1.0 materials available. Not all weapons are worth crafting in the game, so you need to pick your choices wisely.

S-Tier Weapons Explained
The Mechanical Bow is a pretty solid weapon of choice, as it offers 24000 base attack, which helps place it in S-Tier. Plus, crafting the ammo just requires 2x Soralite Ingot per arrow. It also helps that you get to unlock this weapon quite early, at level 67.
Besides the Mechanical Bow, the Prototype Shotgun is another solid choice, and its damage output supports its place in S-Tier. The ammo for this requires something additional to Soralite Ingot, which is Gunpowder. You should have several of them lying around by now, and you can use this weapon fearlessly in the new areas.
A-Tier Weapons Explained
The Tactical Grenade Launcher, Drone Launcher, and the Plasma Rifle are the next best heavy hitters on the list. But crafting these weapons will require a lot of grinding, not to mention the ammo required too.
The Plasma Rifle is a great pick for multi-target attacks, while the Tactical Grenade is great for AoE damage. The Drone Launcher has a unique attack pattern, where it summons 9 combat drones simultaneously. The weapons in this tier are worth the grind and the time taken to craft each one.
B-Tier Weapons Explained
The weapons offer decent damage output and are mostly great against Pal hunting or defeating Pal bosses. They are great for short to mid-distance fights, but the ammo slot offered might not be the best. If you are more of a casual player who just wants a gun for the sake of it, then these weapons will prove their worth while you are out exploring.
C-Tier Weapons Explained
The Beam Launcher does have a serious damage stat, but farming 100x Paloxite Ingots is going to be a huge pain. If you are up for the challenge, then the Beam Launcher will obliterate anything and everything within a certain radius.
The Beam Scatter, on the other hand, is just not worth the hassle for the damage it gives. Plus, this weapon is mostly suited for close-range combat. The same applies to the Overheat Rifle; you are better off getting the other weapons on the list instead.
D-Tier Weapons Explained
The two weapons mentioned here are melee weapons and are not great for close combat in the late game areas. You could use them to defend your base, but there are much better weapons out there at your disposal to stick with these.
