Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced gives players the option to decorate the manor at the Great Inagua in addition to just restructuring it. Previously, you could only build around the manor for aesthetics and to increase the threshold of Reales in your collection box. But now, you can also showcase your Pistol and Sword collection at the hideout, in addition to table and cabinet decorations, ship models, portraits, and paintings.
There are 12 Paintings in total, but you only need 9 to progress on the Dilettante trophy/achievement. However, in this guide, I will cover how to get all 12 paintings in Black Flag Resynced and their exact locations.
How To Get All Paintings in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced
First order of business – paintings are NOT to be confused with portraits. Portraits have an important condition to be met: encounter the person you are collecting the portrait of. Paintings however, can be freely collected, given you are willing to sail around the entire West Indies for it.
Most paintings are a part of the loot of your warehouse raids, where you go to a region and sneak into a plantation to steal materials. You must find the key-bearing guard, and pickpocket or loot his body. Unlike the original game, there is no optional objective to not be spotted for extra loot, so you can easily go guns blazing. Use your eagle vision to spot the desired guard – he will have a yellow key icon on him.

These are all the paintings you need if you are going for the Dilettante trophy/achievement.
Paintings 10 – 12
There are three more paintings that can be acquired from a secret General Store on an unmarked island. The coordinates for this location are 550,638. The paintings are sold for 2000 reales each and are titled as follows:
- Der Liederliche Student
- Vanitas Still-life by Pieter Cleasz
- Harbour Scene at Sunset by Claude Lorrin
The names may look similar, but the paintings look different and are made by different artists. Also, you cannot view these paintings normally under Codex > Database > Art Collection: Paintings. Instead, they are listed under a new tab called “Strange Paintings”. You can still use them as decorative pieces in your hideout at the Great Inagua.
