A good pistol can help you clear out the enemy’s deck without ever setting foot inside their ship. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced features over a dozen pistols with new perks and options to make the gameplay vastly different.

All S-Tier pistols are free legendaries that can be obtained by playing the game. All of them have unique perks, even better than paid DLC legendary pistols. The absolute banger is the Golden Flintlock pistol that you can unlock in the game for free, the perk allows you to slow down time after killing an enemy with a pistol. You can take down more guards, landing nothing but perfect headshots by taking advantage of the timer.
Besides the Golden Flintlock, we have Gargoyle’s Breath that fires explosive rounds, but you will waste 100 Reales per shot; and Peaceful Means, a silent pistol, perfect for assassinating targets from a distance. I should mention that all of them are obtained by playing a game. And all of them deserve to be in the S-Tier for having unique perks that can drastically change the pace of the game.
Now moving to the A-Tier, which is mostly focused on the DLC paid pistols; they all have unique perks, but none of them can be seen as a game-breaker. Aside from decent perks, A-tier DLC weapons have great visual aesthetics. One of the highlights of DLC pistols is the Diabolist’s Pistol, which sets enemies on fire after taking a shot.
The B-Tier pistols; while lacking in perks, have draw speeds and range that separate them from the rest. Although you are not going to find any weapon that has perks, these pistols are perfect arms for mid to late gameplay, though. They do decent damage, and some of them have quicker draw speeds to make up for their limited range.
Lastly, C-Tier comprises the starter weapons that get in the first few hours of the game. They are decent and will handle most things in the earlier sections of the game. But eventually you must switch to the B-Tier set to help you carry through most of the game. Then you can make a decision on the legendaries that suit your gameplay style.
