Marvel Rivals just dropped a new mini-game event on 10th July for Season 9: Mystery of Thebes. The event consists of three murder mysteries where players get to play detective and investigate a string of suspicious incidents by examining crime scenes, gathering clues, and reverse-engineering keywords. In this guide, we will go over one of the mysteries called the Death of Gambit.
Death of Gambit Case Solution Marvel Rivals
To start the case, head over to the event tab and select the Death of Apocalypse event. Choose Gambit’s mission, and select the case briefing prompt to get a better understanding of the crime. Read out how exactly the murder took place in Gambit’s own words, and the names of the initial suspects: T’Challa aka Black Panther and The Hood.
You will learn that shortly after Wolverine and Psylocke’s death, Gambit was sent to retrieve the Table of Death and Entropy my Black Cat in exchange of a handsome sum. While on the job, he was shot with a bullet full of cosmic energy, which he did not see coming. The kind of energy that can be easily used by the people of Wakanda.
Once you are done reading, you can start with the investigation. Click on all the shiny clues which will give you short conversations about them between characters. The clues are:
- Timeworn cables – top right of the photo
- A gunshot hole in the wall just behind Gambit
- Emma’s face
- Gambit’s face
- Gambit’s chest wound
- Gambit’s forearm tattoo
- Gambit’s hand
While uncovering clues, Parker Robbins aka The Hood is also revealed as a potential suspect by Moon Knight.
With all the clues uncovered, it is now time to solve the case. Click on “Investigate” to open up the deduction window, where you will see the complete case description with a few blank spaces in between. You have a collection of words that you can choose from to fill in the blanks, but only a few of them are correct. You must also correctly select all the persons of interests from the options below.
The Complete Solution
The three persons of interest in the case are of course Gambit, Black Panther, and The Hood. Select their respective blank portraits and then their names to acquire them as clues. As for the case description, the clues from the first blank space to last one are:
- Apocalypse
- Tablet of Death and Entropy
- Handgun
- The Hood
- Oblivion
- Bullet
- Oblivion’s Power
- Corpses
- Cosmic Energy
- Black Panther
Correctly placing the last clue will immediately give you the “Case Closed” screen and a few post-case conversations between characters.
