Big Walk has tonnes of fun puzzles to solve, and a lot of new things to find at every corner. The game even contains fun interactables like trains, a megaphone, and more, to keep you engaged. Furthermore, unlocking each of them is a joy, as it requires teamwork and reasoning capabilities.
However, the Purple Flag Pole Golf Puzzle in Big Walk has got to be one of the most tedious puzzles I’ve come across. The reason is that this puzzle requires extensive exploration across the map, and you’ll likely spend a lot of time on it. Just so you don’t have to waste time guessing, I’ve written this guide to streamline the process for you.
Solving Purple Flag Pole Golf Puzzle in Big Walk
The solution essentially involves carrying the ball that you used to solve the Mountain Golf Puzzle from that point to the Purple Flag using a combination of the train and ski lift. The game hints at this with the arrow pointing to that first puzzle. It is not the most intuitive clue; I will give you that, but then that’s the main fun of this game, right – working out the solution and getting it done with your friends.
Also, that is a fairly long distance to bring the ball back safely without dropping it, and will be a proper test of your team’s patience.
So, from the original puzzle, take the ball to the station at the Red Tower. From there, I would suggest using the ski lift at the Green Tower to make your way back. If you don’t have it unlocked, you need to complete the Green Tower puzzle (this works in the same way as the other Towers – get those 5 red gourds and unlock the tower).
Once you reach the Green Tower, you have to grab that ball and take it to the ski lift back to the original area. Furthermore, while using the ski lift, make sure to drop off at the right time, or else you’ll go back to the Green Tower. Which, in turn, will end up taking more of your time and delay your puzzle solving. If it does happen, just be patient and wait for the ski lift to reach the spot again. You can ask your friend to stay at the drop point and throw it at them, so they can continue the work, and you enjoy a sightseeing experience.
